The highly anticipated Whitney Houston biopic ‘Whitney’ aired on Lifetime Saturday night to mixed reviews.

Unlike Lifetime’s Wendy Williams produced Aaliyah biopic, Angela Basset received a much warmer welcome for her Whitney Houston biopic.

While there were many complaints that the feature was way too short and focused too much on Bobby Brown and not enough on Whitney fans on social media were pleased with YaYa DeCosta’s portrayal of Whitney Houston and with Deborah Cox’s vocals.
