Method Behind the Madness: 

“I didn’t really know what direction to take, going into this song.. But I did know I wanted to tell the story. And I wanted the story to be as dramatic and vivid as possible. So of course, why wouldn’t it be a story about me as a drug dealer being sexually involved with a police officer who’s married to up an coming police chief, right??? (Laughs) you know, it’s funny cause this song was completely on the wing.. Everything was pretty much made up as I wrote so I was actually surprised at the way it turned out myself.”

Tyga Slams Young Money Calls Drake Fake

Last month rapper Tyga accused his record label, Young Money, of holding him hostage and refusing to release his album.

Apparently things haven’t gotten any better…

In a new interview with VIBE Magazine Tyga doesn’t hold back.  Check out the excerpts below:

Is Young Money a part of the creative process on this album?

Nah. I tend to distance myself from them.

Are you trying to break out on your own?

Yeah, I’m tryna’ go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki.

Why?

I don’t like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda’ like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is. But I been friends with Chris [Brown] for like six years. That’s my real genuine friend. We hang out all the time. He lives up the street from me, so we don’t just do music we hang. I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship ‘cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him. I try to be cool with everybody, but sometimes, everybody just has different personalities, motives, and different characters. When you realize that, you realize that’s not a place where you want to continue to grow.

And about dating Kylie Jenner

Kylie? Nah. See the thing about Kylie… I’ve known Kylie and the whole family for four years. I introduced Chyna to Kim about a year ago. So everybody’s been cool, but like it’s just so hard, their world is different. If somebody wanna hang out, cool, I’m not opposed to hanging out with somebody. I hang out with her [Kylie], her sister [Kendall], I hang out with Scott [Disick] sometimes, I hang out with Khloe sometimes. But people wanna take the situation [with Kylie] to the next level.

Method Behind the Madness: 

The content of this song was (in great part) inspired by the laid-back tone and tempo of the beat (created by fellow DSMG member Fat Drugs), says Will. “These kind of beats always give me a sort of “laid back, day in the life” feeling. So I figured that was the route to take as far as content and overall vibe. He says, “I wanted listeners to be able to press play and just drift into their own… mode (so to speak). You know, that mode where you’re just unbothered by anything until someone inevitably (laughs) fucks it up. And at the same time, give them that day in the life angle as the beat suggests”.

Nicki Minaj is gearing up to release her third album The PinkPrint due next month, she unleashes her sexy style in the November issue of GQ. Check out some photos and excerpt from the magazine below:

On her customer service job: “I like dealing with people, but I don’t really like a lot of bullshit, so maybe customer service wasn’t the best job for me.”

On her natural look: “I always thought that by the time I put out a third album, I would want to come back to natural hairand natural makeup. I thought, I will shock the world again and just be more toned down. I thought that would be moreshocking than to keep on doing exactly what they had already seen.”

On the video for “Anaconda”: “I think the video is about what girls do. Girls love being with other girls, and when you go back to us being younger, we would have slumber parties and we’d be dancing with our friends.”

On the “Anaconda” cover art, which spawned a million memes:“I just said I’ll put it out, never thought in a billion years that people would be putting [other] people’s heads onit. It’s the craziest shit.”

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT – “B. WILL”

B.Will is one of the most talented and pure hip-hop artists coming out of the DMV area. Born and raised in Southeast, his lyrics and content is based on a more worldly view as opposed to being limited to the content of the harsh environment he was raised in. As a single parent family member and the youngest of three children, he was forced to learn to survive and overcome adversity from an “end of the line” position. Now, his sole purpose is to provide and support his two sons and continue to share his thoughts, views, and his experiences with the world through his music.

As a artist, he displays a witty and thought provoking style full of heavy, hard hitting punch lines and gripping concepts. Growing up, B.Will’s hip-hop inspirations were artist such as Nas, Jadakiss, Beanie Sigel, 2 Pac, Kanye West, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and NWA. His range in musical artists has given him more of a diverse approach to beat selection, lyrics and flow. All in all B.Will is as well rounded and pure as it gets and his work makes for a great listen.

Wiz and Future Diss Amber Rose and Ciara in New Song “P***Y Overrated” ??

The Internet was buzzing last night after newly single rappers Wiz Khalifa and Future dropped a diss track seemingly aimed at their exes called ‘P***y Overated…’

On the track Wiz spits, “Rich ni**a get you/ he’ll never put nothing above you / every time I see you I don’t never want nothing from you,’ while Ciara’s baby daddy Future raps, “You supposed to f*ck me like a star/ girl you know you faking / yo pu**y overrated!”

Beating Victim Granted Restraining Order Against Keyshia Cole

Last month Keyshia Cole was accused of attacking a suspected love rival she found inside her boyfriend, Cash Money CEO Birdman’s, condo at 5am..

The victim in the attack has been granted a restraining order against the ‘Point of No Return’ singer. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Sabrina Mercadel accuses Keyshia Cole of punching her in the face repeatedly, pulling her hair, scratching her face and throwing objects at her after gaining access to Birdman’s West L.A. condo last month.

Sabrina, who was one of several people inside the condo when Keyshia showed up, claims to be suffering neck and back pain and possible permanent damage to one of her fingers as a result of the attack.

Sabrina was granted a restraining order against Keyshia Cole requiring the singer to stay 100 yards away from her and prohibits any contact.
