THROWBACK: BEFORE FANTASIA AND JENNIFER HUDSON THERE WAS…..TANYA BLOUNT
I personally had the chance to meet and talk with Ms. Tanya Blount during a recent interview that she did with my good friend Tyi Flood of Flood The Block Radio. I must say that I played it cool, but found myself turning into fan mode, explaining to her how I had her cassette tape when I was in the 8th grade and how Sister Act 2, really inspired me to want to study at Duke Ellington School of the Arts. You don’t come across genuine and pure talent that often, so it was truly a pleasure in being able to experience that, so I had to dig up an old video, and Ms. Blount killed it in this performance of her smash hit “Through the Rain.”
$1.4 Million Pagani Huayra Supercar
Italian luxury automaker Pagani has finally introduced their 2nd car model, the $1.4 million Huayra, since releasing the Zonda back in 1999. The Huayra (named after the ancient South American Andean god of wind Aymara Huayra Tata) has a very aggressive shape with gull-wing doors, and comes packed with a 6.0 liter twin turbo V12 engine that can generate over 700 horsepower. When put to the test, this supercar is capable of going 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of more than 230 mph.

Nicki Minaj proved herself a woman of many talents on Saturday Night Live last night. Indeed, the rapper flexed her acting muscles in the latest ‘SNL Digital Short’. Check out the skits:

Kelly Rowland shimmered and shined at MTV’s Staying Alive dinner. The event was held in honour of the achievements made by the AIDS awareness charity, one which the 29 year old has been an ardent supporter of. This may be the best I’ve seen Kells look in awhile.
