After debuting her singles “If You Love Me” and “Keys to the City” with Young Jeezy, Kim will appear on an upcoming episode of BET’s “Lift Every Voice.”
Eighteen years after making his debut and millions of records sold, Usher proves he’s still a force to be reckoned with in R&B. The international superstar has announced a title and release date for his seventh album.
The follow-up to 2010’s Raymond v. Raymond, entitled Looking for Myself, will arrive June 12 via RCA Records in standard and deluxe editions.
The lead single “Climax,” produced by Diplo, is currently No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the video has racked up 6 million views since its premiere in early March.
The 33-year-old singer is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on the project with collaborators including Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Salaam Remi, and Max Martin, among others.
Usher shot down previous reports that the album was called The Shantertance. “I’m not feeling the name of my new album, ‘The Shanetance’?? Where in the hell did this come from?? LMAO. Don’t believe everything you hear!” he tweeted.

Nicki Minaj both busted out of her low-cut top and started a verbal war with Jennifer Lopez while appearing on “American Idol” last night.
The “Superbass” rapper appeared on “Idol” to promote her sophomore album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,” which will be released on Tuesday. But while Minaj delivered an upbeat performance of her new song, “Starships,” she couldn’t help but raise a little trouble.
Minaj arrived on the “Idol” stage, exiting from a pink and purple UFO. The singer wore a blonde wig, and showed off her ample curves in a rainbow colored bra top and skirt. As Minaj danced, her chest bounced heavily. At one point in the performance, the rapper turned around, appearing to tuck herself back into her top.
“That was fun,” host Ryan Seacrest said, interviewing the star as she finished her song. “There were parts of that performance that were a little high-risk, if you know what I’m saying.”
Minaj sounded embarrassed grumbling, “I know.” But she quickly bounced back, making a pitch to be a judge on the show.
“I was hoping maybe I could come back and be a guest judge,” Minaj said. “JLo, can you scoot over a little bit? Let me get up in there.”
“Hey, hey,” responded Lopez, appearing taken aback. “I don’t know if there’s enough room for both of us.”
While the exchange appeared a touch heated, Minaj later explained to The Hollywood Reporter that she was not actually gunning to replace Lopez.
“She didn’t seem to be having it but she gonna have it!” Minaj said, before clarifying that she had been kidding. “No, actually, I love JLo. I love what she’s done for pop culture. I have nothing but respect for her and we were just joking around … Something like ‘American Idol,’ it’s iconic and has been around for so long and created so many stars. I would love to [guest judge] but as far as sitting down every week, I can’t.”
Minaj’s “American Idol” performance no doubt soothed any fans who worried that her new album would be too dark after her bizarre Grammys performance of “Roman Holiday,” which showed the exorcism of her alter ego “Roman Zolanski” and was called “vulgar” by the Catholic League. Minaj’s “Starships” is pure pop music confection, much more in line with her hit “Superbass.”
Tyler Perry, who spoke movingly at Whitney Houston’s funeral, has given Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina a recurring role on one of his TV series.
For Better or For Worse was recently picked up for a second season on TBS and Bobbi Kristina has joined the cast.

Tasha Smith’s character owns a beauty salon on the series and Bobbi Kristina will be featured in a recurring role as the daughter of one of the stylists in the her shop.
The up and coming actress has been spotted coming and going from Tyler Perry’s Atlanta Studios for a few weeks now and spies say that her play brother/boo Nick Gordon is always right by her side.
Pat Houston has also been spotted at the facility, but I would guess it was to negotiate Bobbi’s contract to appear on the show.
The new season of For Better or For Worse begins July 2012.
Two years ago Jaleel White got caught up after his baby mama accused him of attacking her. Jaleel claimed it was just his baby moms trying to strong arm him for more child support and after an investigation no charges were filed.
Welp, since Jaleel is on the current cycle of Dancing with the Stars his baby mama figured this was an opportune time to dredge that shit back up again and she just sold an interview that appears in this weeks Star Magazine detailing her abuse.
Jaleel addresses the situation:
“The allegations made against me back in 2010 have suspiciously resurfaced in time to coincide with my new show on Syfy and Dancing With the Stars; Bridget Hardy has consistently shown a knack for timing throughout our child custody disputes.”
“When you’re doing well in life it’s par for the course certain individuals will try and knock you down. When the individual is also the mother of your only child it is particularly hurtful. I have co-parented in peace and compliance with the law for over two years now.”
“In the summer of 2010, my 11 month old daughter was taken to Seattle, Washington for what was supposed to have been a planned vacation and as Ms. Hardy declared herself in her recent exclusive interview, she told me emphatically, ‘I’m done.’ Our relationship came to an end.”
“Ms. Hardy has lived in the greater Los Angeles area for over eight years. My daughter was born in California and, thanks to our judicial process, my daughter remains a California resident. Up until now, we have had a workable joint custody arrangement.
“As much as I would love to go detail for detail refuting Ms. Hardy’s claims about the specifics of what was our relationship, the family court judge made it very clear to me any public discussion of our case and ordeal would be held against me in a court of law. Ms. Hardy’s attempts at greater sums of money above and beyond child support have continued now for two years. And I guess my most recent successes have been too much for her to stomach. I’m assuming I have not received her votes these past Monday nights. “
“My only hope is that when my daughter Googles her parents one day in her future, she sees that her father acted with class and dignity when pressed to the fire. Bridget Hardy is the mother of my only daughter in this world and without Ms. Hardy I would not have the treasure that is my daughter. God knows the truth, the authorities swift dismissal of her police report are 2 years in my past. I ask for your sensitivity during this time, I can assure all of my fans this is only residue from a child custody matter.”
