Jhené Aiko is recovering after being injured in a car accident in Los Angeles on Monday. Her young daughter was riding with her, but was not harmed.

The 25-year-old singer suffered a broken wrist, chipped tooth, and had to get stitches in her chin. She tweeted a photo of herself giving the thumps up in the hospital with cuts and bruises on her face and her arm in a sling. Upon her release, she returned to Twitter to thank her fans for their support.

Rihanna may have landed the acting role of her life, she has been tapped to portray the legendary Josephine Baker.  Story below:

Rihanna is rumored to be close to landing a role as legendary jazz singer Josephine Baker in a new film.

The biopic will document the troubled life of the iconic perfomer, and the 25 year-old singer is reportedly first choice to star in the lead role.

Producer Lance W. Reynolds says in a statement, “Rihanna is one of the most talented performers of this millennium and with her unique acting and performing abilities, I have no doubt she will bring Josephine back to life on the big screen.”

The film about the life of Baker, who became infamous for dancing naked apart for a tutu of fake bananas in the 1920s, is set for release next year. Baker was also the first African-American female to star in a major motion picture Zouzou.

Rihanna made her film debut in 2012′s Battleship.

America’s Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille is expecting her first child with songwriter Kevin McCall. The 28-year-old, who is five months pregnant, confirmed the news to BET. “Being able to bring a life into the world is every woman’s dream but for me it’s more than just a dream it is a magical, mystical journey which I get to share with this amazing man,” Marcille said. “Kevin is the only man who I would share this moment in life with.”

Since winning ANTM, Marcille has appeared on the cover of a number of publications, including Women’s Health and Fitness, Essence, and Brides Noir. After changing her last name from Pigford to Marcille (her middle name, a combination of her grandmothers’ names, Marjorie and Lucille), she appeared in several TV series, including Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, The Young and the Restless, Everybody Hates Chris, and Let’s Stay Together.

Marcille dated House of Payne star Lance Gross from 2005 until 2010. They were engaged in 2009 before breaking up a year later. Marcille also dated Flo Rida from 2010 until 2012. “My life continues to be a bundle of incredible experiences,” Eva Marcille said. “I get to do this incredible show on BET (Real Husbands of Hollywood) and I get to be a mom and live this amazing life that God has bestowed upon me. Who could ask for anything more?”
