ARTIST SPOTLIGHT – “OZONE”

Every once awhile you come across an up and coming artist that has that special something that begs for more attention. With his infectious stage presence and choreographed moves, it is clear why Ozone is setting himself apart from the competition. Hip-Pop recording artist/song writer/dancer/singer/music producer Ornell “Ozone” Williams was born and raised in Washington DC the eldest of three siblings. At the age 9 he found a way to express himself through the art of dance and music, writing his first song at this tender age.

Over the years he learned every style of dance he could while also producing music, he was so passionate about his gifts that it didn’t go unnoticed. His dad introduced him to producer/songwriter Jovan Antonio who later became his mentor. Ozone always had the natural ability to dance and take over the crowd mimicking dance moves inspired by Michael Jackson and Usher. He has performed in talent show cases throughout the DMV area establishing a name for himself. In 2008 Ozone founded Syce Game Dance Crew that quickly became a house hold name taking the DMV area by storm and created a name for the crew. At the age 17 Ozone transitioned to a Hip-Pop artist mixing two genres of music (hip-hop & pop) while incorporating his unique dance moves.

He has performed for No Limit Records showcase(2011 in ATL), Mike Bivins talent search (2009 in Largo MD), Opened for recording artist Ace Hood Album Release Party(lead dancer)(Washington DC 2011), collaborated with R&B singer/song writer Kenny Iko opening for Travis Porter BET’s” Blaze The Stage” (NYC 2011), First hand pick for Apollo Live (2013), main act (Golden Scissor awards – Glenn Jackson 2013), has also made special appearances working with Jeanie Jones ( 93.9 radio personality) , Russel Fergerson (SYTYCD winner), Beet Ya Feet Kings(Appeared on ABDC, performed with Sofi Green (Host of MTV2 “Week In Jams”) etc.

“Welcome to the Ozone” EP was released 11-14-2012 and his single “Lust” is currently on iTunes doing well.

Ozone continues to give back to the community and is currently in the process of moving to LA to purse his career & make a statement in the music industry. Be on the look out for this talented star!!
