Robert Griffin III officially is back to work with his rookie teammates at Redskins Park. Washington’s new franchise quarterback signed a four-year contract Wednesday morning and joined the Redskins’ rookies for training camp two days after rookies were scheduled to report.
The deal is worth $21,119,098, fully guaranteed, with no offset language, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed. NFL.com first reported the terms, and ProFootballTalk.com first reported the absence of offset language in the deal.
Griffin announced the agreement on his Twitter account shortly before 8 a.m.
“Well people….It’s Time to go to Work!!! Off the unemployment line and oh yea HTTR!!!!” he wrote.
