The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback leads all players in voting by fans, and said he’s grateful for the support as he revives his career after losing everything as a result of his participation in a dogfighting operation.
“It’s a credit to everything I’ve tried to accomplish on and off the field, just working as hard as I can to change things around and be a part of the solution and not the problem,” said Vick. “I’ve changed my life. So anybody can do it.
“It was an unfortunate situation in the past and I wish I could go back and change it all. I wish I could take it all back, but I can’t. The only thing I can do is move forward.”
Vick has almost 730,000 votes and leads Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning by almost 40,000 votes. Fan voting ends Dec. 20, and will be combined with player and coach voting to select the team.
