The Game Looks for Love in New TV Series

The Game  has announced a new VH1 show called “She’s Got Game,” in which he’ll travel the country looking for a woman to call his own.

The 10-episode show follows his successful series “Marrying The Game,” which depicted his family life. But he’s split with his longtime fiancée Tiffney Cambridge, and now 10 women will compete for the chance to take her place. On each hour-long episode he’ll go on a date with a potential match in a new city, eliminating them until only one remains.

And this time around, Game is turning to his celebrity friends for advice. Each celebrity will select a woman to accompany Game on his national tour. Find out which will succumb to his flashy lifestyle, and which will ultimately win his heart.

“She’s Got Game” premieres Aug. 10 on VH1 at 9 p.m.

New “EMPIRE” Season 2 Trailer

“Empire” returns for a second season on Wednesday, Sept. 23, and the first trailer has just hit the net. Season 2 promises just as many twists and turns as last season. More in fact, because this time the show will be expanded to 18 episodes, from 12 last season.

Kelly Rowland Appearing on the 2nd Season of Empire

According to E! NewsKelly Rowland will appear on Fox’s hit show “Empire” this fall. Rowland will play the mother of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) in a flashback scene.

She won’t be the only superstar making a cameo on the second season, which is set to debut on Sept. 23. Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, and Marisa Tomei are also on board.

Jada Pinkett-Smith Leaving Gotham

Jada Pinkett-Smith made the announcement yesterday telling entertainment news show Extra,

“We’re done, I did my year and I had a good time.”

In response to Jada’s announcement Gotham producers released their own statement admitting only,

Fish Mooney’s storyline takes a lot of interesting twists and turns into the finale of season one of Gotham.”

Gotham was already renewed for a second season back in January.

“Real” from VH-1 Show “Real Chance of Love” Dies of Cancer at 33

Ahmad Givens, who was known as Real on VH1’s “Real Chance of Love,” died after a battle with cancer, his brother said.

Givens passed away late Friday, hours after he struggled to see and speak when his family visited,TMZ reported. He was 33.

Givens had been battling stage 4 colon cancer since he was diagnosed in 2013, according to TMZ.

He briefly went into remission after a surgery to remove tumors from his liver and rectum. He was placed on chemotherapy when the cancer came back.

Givens said doctors stopped the treatment two months ago because “none of it works anymore.” He hoped a clinical trial would target his tumors.

His condition worsened last month after a fall confined him to his bed, TMZ said.

Empire Continues Meteoric Rise

Empire ratings increase for the fourth week in a row. Fox’s hit drama Empire pulled in a whopping 11.5 million viewers this week up 7% from last week.

As Empire’s popularity continues to grow expect to see more celebrity guests. It was confirmed this week that Jennifer Hudson and Patti LaBelle would soon be making appearances.

Unlike Lifetime’s Wendy Williams produced Aaliyah biopic, Angela Basset received a much warmer welcome for her Whitney Houston biopic.

While there were many complaints that the feature was way too short and focused too much on Bobby Brown and not enough on Whitney fans on social media were pleased with YaYa DeCosta’s portrayal of Whitney Houston and with Deborah Cox’s vocals.

BET CANCELS ‘106 & PARK’

Bow Wow and Keshia Chanté

After 14 years on the air, BET’s music countdown show “106 & Park” is going off air.

Bow Wow and Keshia Chanté will host the final daily on-air show on December 19, it was announced yesterday.

There are still plans to produce “106 & Park” specialst hroughout the year, including the annual New Year’s Eve show,106 & Party,” along with live event experiences at the BET Awards and BET Experience.
