Debra Lee, the HBIC over at BET is selling her Washington, DC mansion. The home is selling for 13.5 million dollars and is tucked away in the affluent community of the Massachusetts Heights Area in the ever-changing District of Columbia.
The Washington Post recently ran an article that featured Ms. Lee’s extravagant home.
The mansion has hosted a $40,000-a plate fundraiser for President Barack Obama, a welcome cocktail party for White House social secretary Deesha Dyer and most recently the “after glow” following the Kennedy Center concert in honor of the new Smithsonian African American history museum.
Pro-Payne the D.C Prophitt, was born Juley Rome Harris ( Ju – LAY ) of Northeast Washington DC. His mother who was deaf, died when he was only 10 years old and had to grow up not knowing who his father was. Out the gate, it seemed as if PROPHITT was already defeated. However; PROPHITT chose his own steps. He took an interest in making music at only 13, initially influenced by his older brother. But with no real guidance PROPHITT would guide himself down a road filled with numerous encounters with the law.
At age 15, PROPHITT was sentenced to 6 months in a juvenile detention center for over $500.00 in theft, this would lead to a charge of breaking & entering. During his sentence, his 6 month bid turned into 18 Months. He returned back home at the age of 17, where he began to focus on a career in music. However, that unfortunately came to a halt! He got locked up again for burglary at the age 18 and was sentenced to 8 Months in a detention center. Only 32 days after his release, PROPHITT was detained again for armed carjacking & kidnapping. He served 4 years of a 3 year sentence.
When you listen to PROPHITT’S music you can hear the raw emotion and passion behind his rhymes. He delivers first hand knowledge of how he is channeling a better life for himself through his music.
PROPHITT is also no stranger to the media. He was featured in the news and the blogs on two separate occasions within the past two years: one incident involving rap group Migos and secondly and unfortunate incident where PROPHITT was arrested in Maryland after police allegedly saw his girlfriend breastfeeding their baby in the front seat of his car.
The Migos drama stemmed from when the rap group was in DC and member Quavo’s chain was infamously stolen. At the time PROPHITT acted as Migos plug here in the DC area. He even tried to mediate the situation with fellow DC rapper, DC GoonPablo who claimed that he had stolen the chain. Ultimately, the situation didn’t any get better and PROPHITT still has some unresolved issues about the situation, which he plans to address in a new diss track.
Then last December PROPHITT experienced what a lot of the world has seen play out in the media when it comes to being detained by the police, an unlawful arrest! He was arrested and convicted of disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order and driving with an unrestrained child in the front seat.
He he was handed a 120-day suspended sentence, two years of probation and community service.
All of the trials that PROPHITT has experienced only makes his journey that much worth it. He aims at reaching those individuals who may have had similar experiences and sheds light on issues that affect many in the black community. It gives PROPHITT’S music that much more meaning! You hear the struggle, the pain, the hunger and his destiny for success.
Be on the look out for PROPHITT’S new mixtape: “Promise to Prophitt” coming soon!!

He has been tapped as artistic director for the the Center’s inaugural Hip-Hop Culture series for the 2016-17 season. The Hi-ARTS partnership features six different events from July through June 2017.
“With Hip Hop constantly changing and evolving, it is easy to forget the history and legacy that precede it,” Q-Tip said in a statement. “I want to begin at the beginning of the Culture to help people see its roots, better understand its present, and responsibly create its future.”
“In our role as a national cultural institution, we feel it is vital to recognize all of the performing arts in our programming,” Kennedy Center president Deborah F. “This song came about by listening to the previous #goodwillWednesdays that I put out. The first #goodwillwednesday song (in my zone) was so chill and mellow and I sorta felt like I drifted from that direction so as it turns out, when fat drugs sent me this beat right on time. It was perfect. I wanted to make a song that illustrated the way I am in my party mode. A fun and good time song.”

“When making this song I wanted to show a more sexual side to my lyrics and at the same time I wanted it to be witty and catchy. Lol I actually pictured the video to the song before I created to lyrics. I’m not sure if that made the creative process easier or more difficult but it all turned out pretty good if you ask me. All that was needed left was some Heavy vocals and Breezy (@mz_ooooohhweeee) covered that perfectly.”
B. Will tackles another classic track, Jay Z’s “Feelin’ It.” B. Will adds his own lyrical bliss over the crisp production. Citing Jay as one of his influences, B. Will delivers solid rhymes as Jay did on the original. As B. continues to drop exclusive tracks, he is also preparing for the #GWW listening session, so stay tuned for more info. “When I say I’m versatile I really mean just that. The key instrument a true artist has is being challenged. When I hear beats like Jay Z’s classic “I’m feeling it”, I see it as a challenge. The fact of the matter is, rappers are afraid to look or sound bad. So they stray away from songs or concepts that will put them in that position. Me on the other hand, I think of how many people can’t do something and then I attempt to do it. Doing this song was all about challenging myself and daring other people to do the same.”
Tis’ the season that keeps on giving!!! We have a #GoodWill exclusive a day early!! B. Will has a special treat for all of his fans just in time for Christmas. He just released “B. Will’s Xmas,” reminiscing about all of those good ol’ Christmases growing up as a child. He even featured his two sons on the hook of the song. “This song was pure memories. All of which was from my childhood so I found it fitting to feature my own children this time. I think they had more fun recording the song than I did (laughs). Even though I spoke on the gifts we received as Christmas presents, I wanted to touch more on the filling or the time we spend with each other during or around Christmas Day. It seems as if I treasure the times when we didn’t have much these days. Things back then where a lot simpler and more precious (sad to say). I’m just happy I was able to express it in song.”
