OutKast Confirmed to Perform at Coachella 2014
OutKast will officially reunite at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival. Big Boi and André 3000 will headline the 2014 festival, which will take place back-to-back weekends on April 11-13 and April 18-20 in Indio, Calif.
Arcade Fire and Muse will also headline, while other performers include Nas, Pharrell, Kid Cudi, Solange, Lorde, Chance the Rapper, A$AP Ferg, Jhené Aiko, and many more.
Saturday Night Live Handles its Diversity Issue
Back in October legendary comedy sketch show Saturday Nigh Live got called out for not hiring any Black female cast members since Maya Rudolph left the show in 2007. Saturday Night live just added Sasheer Zamata to the cast. Sasheer graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in drama. Sasheer debuts on SNL on Jan. 18.

DC’s own Ev’ryday Black Band releases the visuals for their first single “So Fresh,” which has been creating a lot of buzz for the Hip-Hop-Soul band. Shot and recorded at DC’s Listen Vision studios last Summer, the video takes a look at the behind the scenes, in studio session as Dre Black and J-Ev’ryday lay down their vocals for the track. “So Fresh” is Ev’ryday Black street anthem about looking and staying fly. One of their most braggadocios songs to date see’s Dre Black label dropping, and stating “if it ain’t got a label, then that just won’t do;” however the song was written in good fun. Beyonce released her 5th and final installment of her mini-documentary outlining the process and creation of her #1 album BEYONCÉ. In the latest video Bey is seen in the studio with Justin Timberlake, Pharell, and Timberland as she recorded her sexy tune “Rocket.” The heavyweight producers can be seen in awe as they watch and listen to Beyonce record the track and praise her vocals. This is Beyonce’s 5th consecutive #1 album, and it has already sold 1.3 million copies in the U.S. alone. She could be aiming for a 4th week at #1 when the Billboard Charts are released this Thursday.

Jay Z’s Collaboration with Barney’s Net Over $1 Million
According to the NY Daily News, Jay Z’s The Shawn Carter Foundation will collect over $1 million in profits thanks to sales from the luxury clothing line Jay Z helped launch six weeks ago.
Back in October, Jay discussed the project and what he planned on doing with the profits saying, “This money is going to help individuals facing socio-economic hardships to help further their education at institutions of higher learning.”
