Lil Wayne Thanks Fans After Medical Scare, Says ‘I Am Good’

 

Lil Wayne has no worries. Despite reportedly suffering a seizure aboard two flights last week, the hip-hop superstar is doing “good.” 

The Young Money chief returned to Twitter on Saturday to update his fans on his condition. “Thanx for all the prayers! I am good,” he told his followers.

Weezy was flying on Thursday when his plane was forced to land because of a medical emergency. While TMZ reported that he had a seizure, his rep denied the claim, saying it was dehydration and a “severe migraine.”

He experienced a second seizure on Friday aboard a plane from Texas to Los Angeles, which was diverted to Louisiana. He was admitted to a local hospital for treatment and released.

His peers including 50 Cent and 2 Chainz sent their well wishes. “damn a seizure, try to get some rest man don’t kill your self,” tweeted 50, while 2 Chainz told MTV News, “Young money for life—you dig? Get well soon homie.”

Natina Reed of Blaque Killed in Hit-and-Run

Natina Reed of late-’90s girl group Blaque was reportedly killed in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday in Atlanta.  The 32-year-old singer was struck by a car while crossing the street, according to various reports and tweets (via MTV News) .

Her groupmate Brandi Williams confirmed the sad news, tweeting, “Last night the world was changed forever, life will never be the same….she was my sister.”

Reed, a protégé of late TLC member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, was part of the R&B trio, whose hits included “Bring It All to Me” and “808.” She also starred in the 2000 teen comedy Bring It On.

Her Bring It On co-star Gabrielle Union tweeted, “#RIP #Sad #BringItOn,” while former Pussycat Doll sent her condolences. “I loved Blaque!! RIP Natina Reed. I’m so sorry to her family for their lose. Very sad,” she said. Melody Thornton

Reed is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, with rapper Kurupt.

Solange Reveals ‘TRUE’ EP Cover, Tracklisting

Solange stays TRUE to herself on her upcoming EP. Due November 27 via Terrible Records, the digital release will feature 7 tracks including the single “Losing You,” while a physical version will arrive in January. She has revealed the red cover art, with the title faintly visible in the background.

The follow-up to her 2008 album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams is a mélange of kicky dance tracks co-written and produced by Devonté Hynes (Blood Orange). “There was an instant, musical chemistry,” says Solange of her collaborator.

Lil Wayne Hospitalized After Second Seizure

Lil Wayne was rushed to a Louisiana hospital today after suffering another in-flight seizure, his second in 24 hours.  According to TMZ, Weezy was on a flight from Texas to Los Angeles when he began to convulse. The flight was diverted to Louisiana, where he was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.  TMZ reports that he suffered a seizure despite earlier denials from his rep, who claimed it was dehydration and a “severe migraine” that sent him to the hospital.  Just yesterday, Wayne was on board a flight when a pilot reported that the Young Money rapper was having seizures. He was taken to a Texas hospital and released hours later.

Lil Wayne Hospitalized After In-Flight Medical Emergency

Lil Wayne has been hospitalized after suffering seizure-like symptoms on a private jet. According to TMZ, the rapper’s plane made an emergency landing in Texas on Thursday evening.

 A source close to Weezy tells TMZ that right after the plane was grounded, he was taken to a local hospital to get treatment.

It’s unclear how long he was in the hospital or the exact medical diagnosis. However, he is reportedly “doing better.”

The ‘Houston’ rapper took to Twitter to admit to his followers that he’s reeling he didn’t get the ‘Love On Top’ singer pregnant before Jay-Z stepped in. Still pissed I ain’t find Beyonce first and put a baby in her,” he wrote.

The vocal rapper tweeted back in 2009 just what he’d like to do with Bey when he wrote:

“I’m glad the baddest chick in the game from htown,” he tweeted then. “I’m about to start j—ing off where the lotion at,” followed by “Round 2 to Alicia, where’s my lotion.”

This is interesting considering Slim Thug was in a serious long-term relationship with fellow/former Destiny’s Child member Letoya Luckett.

Diddy Said Accident “Was a Close One!”

Diddy has tweeted about surviving a car crash on Wednesday, leaving the front of his Cadillac Escalade crushed, the windshield smashed and the airbags all activated.

As previously reported, the 42-year-old rapper was involved in a collision outside the Beverly Hills Hotel in California when his chauffeur-driven Escalade was crushed in an accident with a Lexus RX.

He reportedly complained of unspecified pain following the incident, but he has taken to Twitter to reveal it could have been much worse, writing: ”Woah…that was a close one! ”

The rapper also tweeted a pic of his smashed car.
