Barack Obama Shouts Out Young Jeezy At White House Correspondents Dinner

Young Jeezy finally received a well-deserved nod from President Obama at the White House Correspondants Dinner Saturday night.

After being asked what would happen a second term, the president joked to the glee of the audience in attendance.

“In my first term, I sang Al Green; in my second term, I’m going with Young Jeezy,” the president quipped.

“My President” was the fourth single from Young Jeezy’s third album, The Recession. The album was recorded the day Barack Obama was confirmed as the Democratic presidential nominee.

The song also features Nas.

In 2008, Jeezy told MTV that he never expected to be recognized by the president.

“I’m a street cat 100 percent, but there’s certain things I had to distance myself between too if I wanna lead the way for the rest of us, if I wanna spit that game back to the ‘hood,” Jeezy said. ” … I don’t expect Obama to come send me a thank-you letter for the song. I feel like he did his thing, and I did what I could to help.”

Jennifer Hudson’s Former Boyfriend Testifies that Jason Hudson Sold Drugs

The evidence is piling up against William Balfour in the murders of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and 7 year old nephew but testimony from two witnesses, including Jennifer Hudson’s former boyfriend James Payton and her own sister Julia, may end up helping the defense…

James Payton, who grew up in Englewood and has known both the Hudsons and Balfour for 20 years, said he stopped by the Hudson home almost every day.

In the month of the murders, Payton saw Balfour outside an apartment building across the street from the Hudson’s house 30 to 40 times.

He said, about a week before the murders, he saw Balfour selling drugs outside the building.

However, Payton also testified that Jason Hudson occasionally sold drugs, which might bolster the defense’s claim that the Hudsons were killed over Jason’s drug dealings, and that Balfour had nothing to do with the killings.

Payton, who said he used to date Jennifer Hudson, is at least the second witness to testify Jason Hudson sold drugs. Julia Hudson also admitted her brother was a drug dealer.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s love continues to burn bright. The happy couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary by renewing their vows on Friday night in Paris.

With the Eiffel Tower in the background, Nick got down on one knee and re-proposed to his wife and mother of his twins. After exchanging vows, they dined at Le Jules Verne restaurant on the Eiffel Tower.

“Tonight was an incredible night, I can’t express how amazing it was to renew our vows in Paris at the top of the Eiffel tower,” tweeted Mariah. “Thank you so much to all the fans who came out as always and showed their love and support. I love you!”

Lil Boosie Lyrics Used as Evidence

A judge in Baton Rouge has ruled that rap lyrics from Lil Boosie can be used against him in his upcoming murder trial.

Torrence ‘Lil Boosie’ Hatch is accused of hiring hit man turned snitch, Michael Louding, to murder rap rival Chris “Nussie’’ Jackson.

In a four hour pre-trial hearing held yesterday a judge ruled that three specific lyrics containing the words ‘murk’, ‘187’ and ‘cake’ could be used against Boosie during his trial.

The trial is set to begin on Monday, April 30.

RUMORS??! Are Jay Z and Kanye West Avoiding Each Other?

According to reports Jay Z went out of his way to avoid Kanye West and Kim Kardashian at a dinner party for Knicks star Carmelo Anthony at Catch.

A source tells us Kanye and Kim, who arrived hand-in-hand, had two seats “saved for them” across the table from Melo and his wife, Kim’s good friend Lala Anthony.

Among the other VIPs seated at the 40-person table were producer Swizz Beats , Knick Amar’e Stoudemire and Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum, whose EMM Group owns Catch.

Without cameras following their every move, West and Kardashian stayed at the West 13th St. hotspot until after midnight when they called it a night.

As a result, West missed his good buddy Jay-Z , who partied with the Anthonys, Stoudemire, Beats, Diddy and Jermaine Dupri upstairs at Catch Roof.
