KENDRICK LAMAR REVEALS ALBUM COVER

Kendrick Lamar took to his Instagram on Tuesday night to post the black-and-white artwork, which shows his homies wildin’ out in front of the White House, while a judge lies on the floor with his eyes X’d out.

“Don’t all dogs go to heaven? Don’t Gangsta’s boogie? Do owl shit stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream nigga….” – lil Homie.

The follow-up to his 2012 debut good kid, m.A.A.d city drops March 23 featuring 16 tracks including “The Blacker the Berry.”

Wale Unveils Album Cover for “The Gifted”

Wale unveiled the artwork for his anticipated new album, The Gifted  which hits stores on June 25.  The MMG rapper illustrates the different aspects that make up his life including his hometown of D.C., money, women, and faith. The cover was designed by tattoo artist Mister Cartoon.

The album’s first single “Bad” featuring Tiara Thomas is currently No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the follow-up “LoveHate Thing” premieres on Monday, 5/20/13.

The Game recently tweeted out some pictures of him in the tattoo parlor getting some fresh ink.  He covered up a previous tattoo that said ‘STRETCH.”

He endured the pain while tattoo artist Peter Koskela applied the word “Compton” in Old English font to his heavily-tatted body.

“The stomach gotta be the most fu**ed up place to get tatted but I thugged it out.”

Meek Mill Launches 30-Date Tour With Rick Ross and Wale

Philly rapper Meek Mill has dropped the official cover art and track list for his highly anticipated album, Dreams and Nightmares.

Dreams and Nightmares features appearances by Maybach Music cohorts Rick Ross and Wale, while artists like Mary J. Blige, Drake and Nas support the rapper on his debut release.

“A lot of people have been shying away from the real rapping and hip-hop,” Meek stated. “I want to have a classic album, an Illmatic, [Vol.2…] Hard Knock Life, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ type, a Hip-Hop album.”

The album’s latest single “Young & Getting It,” is currently the most added single on urban mainstream radio.

Immediately following the October 30 release of Dreams and Nightmares, Meek Mill will launch a college/arena tour with Rick Ross and Wale, which kicks off November 2 in Columbus, Maryland.

Bad Boy rapper Machine Gun Kelly is opening the 30-date tour, which will wind down in Washington, D.C. on December 16.

Rihanna Honors Gramndmother with Tatoo

Rihanna lost her grandmother Dolly in July, but she will always be close to her heart. During her trip to London, the “We Found Love” hitmaker paid tribute to her by getting a tattoo of Isis on her rib cage.

“Goddess Isis- Complete Woman – Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart #1lo,” tweeted RiRi, who had a close relationship with her grandmother, whom she affectionately called “Gran Gran Dolly.”

Isis is the Egyptian goddess known as the ideal mother and wife as well as the patron of nature and magic.

After much anticipation, Brandy unveils the artwork for her sixth album Two Eleven. The R&B diva rocks a long ponytail and bares her abs while standing over a mirror on the cover, photographed by Gomillion & Leupold.

Due October 16 via RCA/Chameleon Records, the project features the Chris Brown-assisted single “Put It Down” and follow-up “Wildest Dreams,” with contributions from Sean Garrett, Frank Ocean, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Bangladesh, Tha Bizness, and more.

“It’s just an R&B album, a rhythm and blues album,” Brandy told the AP of her first record since 2008’s Human. “No gimmicks, real R&B music.”
