Tina Knowles, 61, and Richard Lawson, 67, tied the knot on a 140-ft. yacht in Newport Beach, California, during the same weekend as some little festival called Coachella.
Guests included Beyonce, Solange, Blue Ivy, Jay Z and Kelly Rowland who were dressed all in white.
The couple started dating in 2013.
Solange Knowles cancelled her Coachella DJ set this weekend after her business partner, Armina Mussa, is stabbed 10 times in a domestic dispute.
According to the NOLA Times-Picayune, Armina Mussa was stabbed by Arronesia Christophe, a friend of her roommate, after Armina ordered the woman to leave their house in the St. Roch area of New Orleans.
Arronesia, who has been booked on second degree attempted murder charges, told police she was visiting an old high school friend when Armina, who she described as her friend’s ex-girlfriend, came out of the house screaming at her to leave.
Arronesia claims she told Armina, “We’re just friends, why do I have to leave?” but Armina kept screaming so Arronesia grabbed a pocket knife from her car and told Armina to, ‘get back’ and ‘please back away’ before Armina grabbed her by the hair and began punching her. That’s when Arronesia claims she started swinging the knife. Armina was stabbed in multiple places on her body, including her neck, and remains hospitalized in critical condition.
911 was called and Arronesia stayed at the scene until police arrived.
Solange has been keeping a bedside vigil for Armina but was present for Arronesia’s first court hearing on Thursday. The NOLA Times-Picayune described Solange as looking disheveled and appearing very concerned.
Solange and Armina are co-owners of a French Quarter boutique and Armina is the creative director for Solange’s Saint Heron Records.
Last week it was revealed that Mickey ‘MempHitz’ Wright had lost his $50 million defamation of character lawsuit against K. Michelle, VH1 and Mona Scott-Young for discussing his abusive nature on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

Back in 2012 Toya Wrights’ husband Mickey ‘MempHitz’ Wright sued R&B singer K. Michelle, VH1 and Love and Hip Hop producer Mona Scott-Young for defamation of character claiming his reputation had been damaged by K. Michelle’s claims that he physically abused her and stole the advance money from her record deal. The case is finally over and MempHitz has come out on the losing end.
According to The Atlanta Journal and Constitution,
… in depositions Wright acknowledged he got into a physical altercation with K Michelle in a Memphis hotel altercation in 2009 and had spent money from Jive Record’s budget for jewelry, not to help her career, and had sent a text message threatening to kill K. Michelle’s son.
It’s not defamation if it’s true. Case closed.
MempHitz, who had been seeking $50 million in damages, admitted earlier this year that the decision to follow his wife Toya Wright’s advice to sue instead of going on the show to clear his name had put a strain on his marriage
Rapper Nelly arrested on felony drug charges in Tennessee.
According to reports Nelly was arrested around 9 am Saturday morning after the tour bus he was riding in was pulled over for not displaying the proper U.S. Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax Association stickers.
After the traffic stop officers detected the odor of marijuana and searched the bus where they turned up weed, meth and guns and drug paraphernalia. Nelly was taken into custody, booked and released on $10k bond. His next court date is June 9.
