Fast-Food ‘Linked to Childhood Asthma and Eczema’

Eating fast food three times a week may lead to asthma and eczema in children, say researchers who have looked at global disease and dietary patterns.

Data from more than 500,000 children in more than 50 countries suggests poor diet may be to blame for rising levels of these allergy-related conditions.

Those who ate fast food, such as take-away burgers, risked severe asthma, eczema and itchy, watery eyes.

Eating plenty of fruit appears to be protective, Thorax journal reports.

Fast food often contains high levels of saturated- and trans-fatty acids, which are known to affect immunity, while fruit is rich in antioxidants and other beneficial compounds, say the researchers.

In the study, children in their early teens who ate three or more weekly servings of fast food had a 39% increased risk of severe asthma.

Six- and seven-year-olds had a 27% increased risk.

Eating three or more portions of fruit a week cut the risk of severe asthma, eczema and rhinoconjunctivitis by between 11% and 14%.

Justin Timberlake Release “Suit & Tie” Featuring Jay-Z

Justin Timberlake released his new song “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z .  The song was written by Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Shawn Carter, Jerome “J-ROC” Harmon and James Flauntleroy and produced by Timbaland, JT  himself and Jerome “J-ROC” Harmon.

The song is the first release off Timberlake’s forthcoming album, The 20/20 Experience, due out later this year on RCA Records.

He also released open letter to his fans.

An Open Letter to you (the fans):

I hope this gets to you the right way. It’s the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right?? Right?!?! Besides, I’d rather speak directly to all of you. And, who can knock me for having a little bit of fun with it?

Well… No more teasing. Although, it was A LOT of fun. (Did I mention that I’m having fun with this?? Ha!)

So, here goes:

This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the “grapevine,” I’m gearing up for a big 2013.

Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC.

The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.

What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way.

I’m calling it “The 20/20 Experience,” and it’s coming out this year.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

That’s all I’m giving you for now… I know, I know! Again, with the teasing!!!

Get ready. This is going to be fun (well, at least it is for me).

Mendeecees of Love and Hip-Hop Accused of Child Molestation

Does Yandy know about this? Love and Hip Hop New York star Yandy Smith’s baby daddy Mendeecees Harris is facing charges for molesting a 15 year old.

Jury selection began Wednesday in Hackensack for the trial of a hip-hop reality TV star accused of molesting an underage girl in Lodi two years ago.

Mandeecees Harris, a 34-year-old actor on the VH1 reality show “Love and Hip-Hop,” is charged with performing various sexual acts with a 15-year-old girl and inappropriately touching her at his former home in Lodi.

Bergen County prosecutors allege that Harris asked for and received oral sex from the girl and fondled her on various occasions between September 2009 and April 2010. He was arrested later that year and charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and child endangerment. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.

Destiny’s Child Release New Song, “Nuclear,” Take a Listen

Quite a bit of Destiny’s Child news this week. First Beyonce announced that trio had reunited for a new song and compilation album. Then we learned Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams would join Bey at the Super Bowl halftime show. And now, just in time for the weekend, the single is here. “Nuclear,” the only original song off the trio’s upcoming album “Love Songs,” hit the web Friday.

The Pharrell Williams-produced breakbeat track sounds like the ’90s, but in a slower, more … background-y way. Those pining for something a bit more “Say My Name” or “Jumpin’ Jumpin'” are sure to be disappointed. That said, if you’re looking for Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to morph into a single, blanket-like voice, you’re in luck.

Destiny’s Child to Join Beyonce’s Super Bowl Halftime Show!

Beyonce  who is headlining the big event on Feb. 3 at the  Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans — will be joined onstage by her  Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle  Williams, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly exclusively.

Insiders tell Us the “Crazy in Love” singer will open the  much-anticipated show solo; midway through her performance, Williams and Rowland  will appear onstage and launch into a short medley of the group’s hits,  culminating in a brand-new song, “Nuclear,” their first original material in  more than eight years.

After, Beyonce will take center stage again for the big finale, which is said  to include the debut of a track from her upcoming fifth album.

News of Destiny’s Child’s onstage reunion — which will be their first  performance as a group since 2006 — comes hot on the heels of the Grammy  winner’s announcement that the trio is set to release a compilation record of their best love songs from past  albums.

“I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight  years!” she wrote on her official website Jan. 10.

The ‘Crazy In Love’ singer can be seen wearing a turquoise bikini as she bends over to help her one year-old walk along the beach.  The image comes shortly after the singer has posed for a new cover shoot with GQ magazine.

Beyonce is officially back and better than ever. She is doing major things for 2013!! In two weeks she will perform the National Anthem at the Inauguration, then perform for the biggest audience of her career at the Superbowl, followed by her HBO documentary.  Somewhere in between expect a new single, album, and video.  Currently, she is gracing rte pages of  GQ with her killer post baby bod!!  Check out an excerpt below:

Once drama always drama, it seems that on or off camera the shade and the backbiting never ends. “Basketball Wives” stars Brooke Bailey claims Bambi put out a hit on her for somebody to beat up Brooke.  And she posted the proof.

Brook posted a message she received from a former friend of Bambi’s.  And it was a warning to Brooke to watch her back…because Bambi was recruiting young girls to beat up Brooke…for pay.

Brooke posted the above message from Bambo’s ex friend Starr and said:
