Wendy Willams Breaks Down about Whitney Houston and Her Own Past Addiction
Talk show host Wendy Williams gave a heartfelt tribute to the late Whitney Houston on her show Monday morning, and candidly described her own battles with substance abuse. “I was at home in New Jersey when I heard the news, and I don’t remember much else after that,” Williams revealed. “I know I was not answering phone calls, I wasn’t making phone calls. I turned off the TV. I did not watch the Grammys. I did not watch the Fashion Police before the Grammys. Like, I did nothing…I kind of shut down. and, you know, went into my shell and thinking about Whitney.”
Williams and Houston had been long-time rivals ever since their notorious radio interview in 2003, when she had interrogated the R&B singer over her alleged drug abuse. Houston told Williams, “If this were back in the day in Newark, I’d meet you outside.”

Better late than never. After keeping their fans waiting, Jay-Z and Kanye West are ready to unveil the “Ni**as in Paris” video to the world. The highly-anticipated clip will make its debut on Thursday, February 9, via VEVO. It features footage from December’s Watch the Throne tour stop in Los Angeles, where the hip-hop kings performed the song 10 times in a row. The Hit-Boy production peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Nicki Minaj’s ‘Stupid Hoe’ Video Banned from BET, Video Inside
Don’t expect to see Nicki Minaj’s video on BET. Her latest clip for “Stupid Hoe” has been banned from the network.
TMZ spoke with a rep for BET who confirmed that they would not be airing the video, but did not specify why. Other sources at the company tell TMZ that the ban was placed because the video was too explicit for TV.
The Hype Williams-directed clip, which features risqué lyrics and images, has received over 20 million views on VEVO since its premiere on January 20. Nicki debuted the video online to avoid being censored.
“Can’t premiere on a network b/c its important that my art is not tampered with, or compromised prior to you viewing it for the 1st time,” she explained.
The Young Money rap diva is not the first artist to be banned from BET. Ciara’s “Ride” video was deemed too steamy for television and Game’s “Red Nation” was blacklisted for gang affiliation.
