DR. DRE IS HOPING TO TEAM UP WITH JAY-Z AGAIN!

Dr. Dre wants to work with Jay-Z again. The rapper-and-producer – who previously worked with the ‘99 Problems’ hitmaker on ‘Under Pressure’, but the track was dropped from his forthcoming album ‘Detox’ following internet leaks – is hopeful he can team with his pal again on a different song. He told XXL magazine: “I mean Jay is my favourite. I’m a huge Jay-Z fan. I love it. I’m waiting for his record right now. ”Hopefully, I’ll get a track on it. We’ll see. Yeah I love it. Because it helps keep alive the type of music that I love to do.” Dre also praised up-and-coming rapper J. Cole and is looking forward to hearing the 25-year-old star’s album, ‘Cole World’, when it is released next March.
He added: “Just recently, actually, I’ve heard some really good artists. I’m a fan of J. Cole. I like Don Trip. Those two I was actually in this studio working with recently, and I really like their vibe. Especially J. Cole. I think that kid has a serious future ahead of him. He’s articulate. The way he speaks is – he’s got it. All he needs is the record now.”

Ciara kicked off her TV promo for her new album Basic Instinct with a stop on “The Wendy Williams Show.” CiCi spoke with the gossip queen about wearing the same clothes as BFF Kim Kardashian, why her album was delayed, and once again addressed rumors of dating 50 Cent.

“That’s like my best friend. He’s been my best friend for years,” said the single lady. “I haven’t really had the chance to do like dating over the years from my relationship with young Bow [Wow].”

JANET JACKSON KICKS OFF LARGEST TOUR IN FEBRUARY

Janet Jackson is coming to a city near you. The legendary pop star has announced her largest-ever world tour to celebrate her 35 chart-topping hits in 35 different cities across the world. Hong Kong has been voted by fans as the kick-off city, where she will perform tracks exclusively from her greatest hits collection Number Ones.

 The Rhythm Nation leader will launch the tour at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on February 14, with subsequent dates to be announced soon. “The fans really reached out and voted for Hong Kong to be the Valentine’s Day city of our Number Ones tour. I am thrilled to receive your votes and I will be performing in Hong Kong Feb 14, 2011!” wrote Janet on her website.

Ahead of the tour’s start, Janet will be celebrating the release of her upcoming book True You, hitting stores February 8. The singer’s first book will take readers into her lifelong struggle with weight and exercise, meant to inspire those who need to improve their self-esteem.

WILLOW SMITH ONLY GET MUSICAL ADVICE FROM JAY-Z AND BEYONCE

Willow Smith gets advice from Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles. The 10-year-old singer – whose parents are actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith – has been told by the famous couple to enjoy her experiences of chart success. Asked which celebrities give her advice, she said: “My mom, my dad, Jay-Z, Beyonce. That’s probably it. They give me advice like, ‘Have fun.’ “ Despite having famous parents, the ‘Whip My Hair’ singer still gets excited when she meets other celebrities but insists she is always able to keep her cool when she meets her idols. She said: “I’ve met Lady Gaga. She was awesome. ”Was I starstruck? Not really. I was very cool. I kept my composure.” One area Willow doesn’t take advice from other people is in her wardrobe, insisting she chooses all her own clothes. She said: “I just be myself. I choose my own clothes. It’s schoolgirl meets punk rock.”

RAHEEM DEVAUGHN EXPLAINS ‘SHE’S SINGLE’ VIDEO

Raheem DeVaughn, who’s known for his “positive” anthems directed at black women, had to know that his new song, “She’s Single,” and video, it’s NSFW (not safe for work) video, would raise more than a few eyebrows.

“I wanted to create an image that was tasteful, but cutting edge, provocative, grown… real,” DeVaughn tells Vibe.com of the raunchy clip. “I wanted to have people guessing and jaw-dropping. I knew it was going to be big but I didn’t guess all this. I was curious to see just how many people are checking for me, but it looks like a lot of people are.”

“She’s Single” is from DeVaughn’s new mixtape ‘Jackin’ 4 Beats,’ and is a remake of Lil Wayne’s song “Single.” The singer says the song is not a cry for attention.

“It’s not a moment of desperation. Technically there ain’t no records to sell. It’s a free mixtape. I paid for the video to be shot myself. It’s just another way for me to display my artistry,” he explains. “I’m constantly reinventing myself. It’s a constant thing that I do. No diss to any of my homies, but I pay very close attention to what people say about me. I maybe saw five negative comments out of thousands. And what’s interesting is it was from dudes. But I made this for women. I made this for a woman to say that’s how I want to be loved down. And for the brothers who do ride with me I made it for them to say yeah that’s how I put it down.”

Amy Winehouse fans may not have to wait long to hear new material.  In fact, it could even be as early as a few weeks!

The singer’s backing vocalist Zalon recently announced that the troubled singer will be playing new songs this January when she tours Brazil with Soul sensation Janelle Monae.

The 26-year-old is planning to drop her brand new studio album next year. With a lengthy four year absence and many delays due to her previous heartaches, and drug issues; I just want to hear something new and innovative from her.  Hope she can get it together.

Bow Wow Speaks On His Suicidal Tweets

Bow Wow dropped by WKYS 93.9 radio station yesterday evening here in DC to discuss his suicidal twitter rant, Young Money, Kat Stacks (who has gone into oblivion) and former B2K member Raz B. Last month, Bow Wow posted a message to his twitter that read “I swear I be wishing I was dead sometimes because I feel like that is the only way I’ll get peace“, however, he told Angie Ang that he wasn’t exactly suicidal:

All I know is the business. I didn’t have time to play football or none of the regular stuff so at times it haunts you because of course you are going to be unbalanced. You’ve never seen the other side. I want balance. I’ve only seen one side of life, I want to see the other side. It’s not by choice, it’s just how it is. Some days I wake up and I do want to fit in sometimes. I shop at Target and people look at me like “why are you in here”…so what I can’t shop at Target? So that’s how I meant it, it wasn’t “I’m about to go kill myself right now”.
