Iggy Azalea Signs To TI’s ‘Grand Hustle’, (Music Inside)

T.I. is expanding his Grand Hustle family. The King of the South has signed Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, British MC Chipmunk (now known as just Chip), and Houston’s Trae Tha Truth to his label. He introduced the newest members of the Hustle Gang during an interview with MTV News.

Iggy, who Tip calls the “Igga Monster,” explained how she linked up with the head Hustler. “Tip reached out just to meet me, to say hello, and I found a position for him conveniently where he could be used, and he was fucking with it,” said the blonde bombshell, who will drop the first single from her debut The New Classic in 2-3 weeks.

But Tip tells a slightly different story. “Her exact words were, ‘It’s very smart of you to call me because I’m going to be smashing shit for quite some time now and no one will be able to breathe if you’re not on my team.’”

Chip has already made a name for himself overseas, but connected with T.I. to help expand his presence in the U.S. “Everyone was like, you’re young, you’re 21, someone just needs to dive in at the deep end in America and just try and bridge the gap a little bit more between the cultures musically,” he said. “Tip was rocking with what I was doing, so we just linked up.”

Jada Dedicates Love Song and Poem to Will Squashing Divorce Rumors

Despite divorce rumors in recent months, Jada Pinkett-Smith reiterated her love for her husband yesterday by dedicating a song called “Burn” to him publicly on her Facebook page. Accompanied with the ballad–that she sang herself–was this note:

With the major losses we have experienced in the last few weeks…

We should remember…

Our lives are worth living fully.

Therefore…

Our risks are worthy.
Our mistakes are worthy.
Our traumas are worthy as well.
The very paths we are told not to
tread are the paths that hold the
keys to our deepest understanding of
love for our lives and ourselves.

Self love is the gateway to truly loving
another…deeply

We were born to be loved and to love…
fiercely.

Will,
I love you.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
This is for you.

This is totally different than that era and I hope it speaks to all the people who are making diss tracks and going hard on each other. Come together and watch the numbers move.”

Brandy added, “This business is all about competition. They forgot about what is the most important, which is two talents coming together. It’s just great to come back and do something with [Monica]. This is definitely a blessing.”

Two different versions of the song will appear on Monica’s album New Life, due Apri 10, and Brandy’s RCA/Chameleon debut, due this spring. A video, directed by Chris Robinson, will be shot on February 13.
