Picking up where the Spring/Summer 2011 left off, Kris Van Assche advances his footwear concepts with the new Fall/Winter 2011 men’s shoe lineup. With a variety of sneakers and boots, the collection maintains the progressive qualities from the previous releases, while still managing to push the design forward into the future. The most reoccurring features for this collection are the back zips and lacing detail that wraps around the back of the shoe.
This Burberry Navy Leather Biker jacket ($3,195) from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection features a military style design that everyone needs in their possession. It’s made using 100% washed buffalo skin, and has a detachable belt, shoulder epaulets and four front pockets.
These are the Louis Vuitton Acapulco sneakers ($645) released as part of the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, and feature calf leather with perforated detail, a top velcro strap, white trimming, rubber LV initials on the side and a rubber sole.
Designer kicks are getting more and more creative and these Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011 leather sneakers ($630) are an example of just that. Made of black calfskin leather, these sneakers are covered with reinforced metal eyelet cut outs, and detailed with a leather insole and lining on a black rubber sole.
Yves Saint Laurent’s latest offering to the footwear world comes by way of these smooth lace-up Plimsolls sneakers ($440). These casual grey leather lace-up sneakers feature a thick white sole and a YSL logo on the heel.
Kris Van Assche showcases his avant-garde style and attention to detail with the Spring/Summer 2011 mens shoe collection. Most of the looks borrow from the design innovations from the past seasons, however Kris mixes it up by throwing in a few gems. Without a doubt there’s something for everyone, as the collection consists of a variety of sneakers and boots.
