Kanye West’s new limited edition sneakers the ‘Air Yeezy 2’ aren’t available until this Saturday, and frankly if you’re not already online outside the four select House of Hoops by Foot Lockers across the country where they’re being sold [two in NY, one in Las Vegas and one in LA], you can forget about it, that is unless you have about $90,000 bucks to spare.
Yeezy’s sneakers go for aboutt $245.00 but online auctions have already popped up on Ebay and the bid for one pair has already reached a whopping $89 grand.

Beyonce Stuns at the Met Gala

The Met Gala is often called fashion’s Oscars where  every major Oscar star and fashion’s most powerful names all together on one red carpet in their most fashionable get up.  The event is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and is a free for all of all your favorite celebrities donned in the most elaborate designs.  Beyonce made an appearance in a sequined-see through gown by Givenchy showing of her post baby bod!!

Giuliano Fujiwara has revamped their Brown Boots  from the Fall/Winter 2011 Collection by making very slight changes to the design. These boots ($789) showcases a large tassels tucked underneath the lace-up middle and and excessively thick rubber sole.

Creative Huh?? Nicki Minaj Busts Out in Japan in Popcorn Dress

Nicki Minaj got it poppin’ during her visit to Japan this week. While promoting Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in the land of Harajuku Barbies, the fashion chameleon modeled a pink wig and dress inspired by a popcorn box, with actual popcorn sticking out at the top.

Nicki, who inked a multi-million dollar deal to star in Pepsi’s “Pop” campaign, knocked out some interviews and met up with her Japanese Barbz, some of who mimicked her look. “I’m staying forever,” she tweeted.

She will return to the U.S. to perform on the “Today” show on April 6, three days after the release of her sophomore album.

Pharrell Williams customized Timberland’s Chukka Boots, now he’s given a pair of Converse Adict by Nigo White Canvas sneakers a makeover. While at the UNKNWN store in Miami, he was spotted  wearing the customized shoes with red laces, Chanel logo print and several slogans.  Pretty dope!!

Nike Air Yeezy Kanye & Kobe Collaboration Sneakers?

As you might’ve already heard, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 sneakers are rumored to have an April 13th release date with a $250 price tag. Now a photo has surfaced and created a brand new rumor that suggests that a special edition collaboration sneaker between Kanye West and Kobe Bryant is in the works. The shoes appears to combine elements from Kanye’s Air Yeezy 2s and Kobe’s Nike Zoom Kobe 7 Cheetah sneakers. Even though nothing’s been confirmed, one thing’s for sure, the buzz and anticipation for the Yeezys are definitely heating up

Stars Come Out and Support Kanye West in Paris

The stars came out to support Kanye West at his second womenswear at Paris Fashion Week. From G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean to chic couple Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz and Bad Boy’s Diddy and Cassie, the front row was a who’s who in entertainment and fashion. Other star sightings included Katy Perry, Common, Shyne, Rosario Dawson, and Teyana Taylor.

Kim Kardashian strutted in the $5800 knit heels that Kanye designed with Giuseppe Zanotti and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour returned to show her support. “I’m very fond of Kanye,” she told the WSJ.

 

Kanye West Returns to Paris Fashion Week with New Collection

Unhinged by the critics, Kanye West returned to Paris Fashion Week to unveil his second womenswear line. The rapper-turned-designer presented 20 looks from his fall/winter ready-to-wear collection to a star-studded audience filled with designers and celebrities including Alicia Keys, Anna Wintour, Big Sean, Shyne, Kim Kardashian, Cassie, Common, Diddy, and Swizz Beatz. Following a musical intro, models strutted down the runway dressed in black leather, gold, velvet, crocodile, and fur.

Mr. West addressed his second foray into the world of womenswear. “I learned a lot from the last one,” he told The Wall Street Journal. “I’m learning every day. I’m a new designer. I’m taking baby steps.”

The new collection has already earned more favorable reviews than his first last fall. “This collection looks like he has had a lot of consultants working with him,” wrote the WSJ’s Christina Binkley. “But it’s way better than before.”

BET’s 2012 Rip the Runway

This year’s BET Rip The Runway show was hosted by Pooch Hall and Selita Ebanks.
