Solange strut down the catwalk at the Alberta Ferretti fashion show during Milan Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2012.  The singer, whose favorite designers include DVF, Opening Ceremony, J. Crew, and Boxing Kitten, recently signed a modeling contract with Next Model Management.

In an interview with Vogue Italia, the new aunt spoke about becoming Rimmel’s first black spokesperson.

“I don’t by any means consider myself the most qualified for model material,” she told the magazine.  “I think that people tend to respond to what is real. Black women carry that flame with so much ease and confidence. It is being captured and celebrated on all fronts in fashion now.”

Solange is finishing up her third album.  “There are a lot of songs about sex,” she confessed to V magazine.  “It’s the kind of record you put on when your man is coming over, when you’re with your girls. There are songs that make you wanna dance because we were kind of partying our way through the record, but it’s very chill.”

The Knowles are getting that GWAP!  Solange Knowles has been spotted Dj’ing but that’s not all she can do.  She just signed a contract with the High Models. Solange is the under ROC NATION management. She has already been the new face of Rimmel London, Armani Jeans and Carol’s Daughter.

Expressing her joy about her new contract, Solange said:

Rookie of the year singer/songwriter Frank Ocean makes an in the upcoming  pages of Italian fashion magazine L’Uomo.  The spread was shot by Nabil Elderkin, who directed his video for “Swim Good.” “Frank Ocean is the best R&B lyricist since Prince,” declares the magazine. In the interview, the Odd Future singer-songwriter, 24, speaks out about being labeled, buying a new car with all cash, and becoming the next president.

On being called an R&B artist: “I’ll usually cringe at the R&B label. Because it’s like calling it urban…and what the fuck is urban music?”

On his banner year with his debut Nostalgia, Ultra and writing credits for Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Kanye West: “Career-wise, this year feels like a montage scene in a movie.”

On politics: “My generation just doesn’t have the best taste in leadership. And weak leadership means little to no cohesion. If there’s no cohesion, there’s no real chance for effective protest or politics. Obviously, looking at Occupy Wall Street, there are a few in our bunch who still give a damn enough to rally and shout. This will change once I’m elected President.”
