“This week I wanted to do a song that was more of an anthem than anything else. I wanted to make sure the hook was catchy and something that listeners could ride to. These type of song aren’t very hard to make. You just have to keep in mind, when making these type of songs, that the listener is always right as opposed to when making a song that’s more concept based. So there’s a lot of catering involved in the process. This is also my first time using Autotune so I hope I did pretty okay with that.”

She performed three songs off her forthcoming album The Pinkprint–“Only”, “All Things Go”, and “Bed of Lies” featuring Skylar Grey. Chris Brown and Karrueche’s breakup has played out on Instagram. The couple, who broke up sometime during this past week, has engaged in a nasty exchange and revealed some intimate details about their relationship.

After fallouts with Tyga, Busta Rhymes, and Mystikal, YMCMB’s all-star Lil Wayne has publicly declared that he wants off Birdman and Slim’s label.
In a series of candid tweets on Thursday, Weezy revealed that his long-awaited album Tha Carter V, which was due December 9th, won’t be released because Birdman and Cash Money refuse to put it out.
He claims that he’s been a “prisoner” and apologized to his fans for making them wait.

Doris Rowland Garrison, mother of singer-songwriter Kelly Rowland, has passed away at age 66.
“It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my mother, Doris Rowland Garrison,” Kelly said in a statement to ESSENCE. “She was an incredible soul who made countless sacrifices so that I could become the woman—and now mother—I am today. We humbly appreciate all the love and support and only ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
Rowland Garrison suffered a heart attack on Monday December 1 and passed away early Tuesday morning. Her death come just a few weeks after her daughter, Kelly, gave birth to her first child, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon.
When Kelly was child, her mother worked as a live-in nanny. After leaving her abusive husband, she and her daughter relocated to Houston, Texas. Rowland Garrison reportedly gave Beyoncé’s parents, Tina and Matthew Knowles, legal guardianship over Kelly when she was very young. The friendship that budded between the two girls soon led them to form the group Girls Tyme, and later Destiny’s Child. Kelly credits her mother with helping her reach superstardom.
“It was because of your strength and sacrifice that I was able to dream big,” Kelly wrote in a 2006 Mother’s Day tribute published in ESSENCE Magazine.

“The process of making this song was kind of intense. But then again, it always is when I am re-enacting a classic concept such as this one. It’s been done so many times over and over by a few of the greatest the game has ever seen, so if you care about that sort of thing, the pressure was going to be there. I was worried that The Beat was a little too mellow for the concept. I was scared that the cinematic and dramatic feel would be lost. But in the end, I realize that your creation is only going to be what you make it. And, at the end of the day, you have that power to make it what you want. You just have to find that power and apply it. Or am I being too philosophical??? “(Laughs)

Sad news. Real Housewives of Atlanta husband Todd Tucker’s mother Miss Sharon passed away suddenly in New York. According to reports Todd’s mother Miss Sharon was found unconscious in her home by a friend and rushed to the hospital where she later died after suffering a stroke and slipping into a coma.
Todd was in Atlanta at the time of his mother’s death and his wife, Kandi Burruss, was in L.A.
Both Todd and Kandi expressed their shock and sadness at Miss Sharon’s unexpected passing.
You can put away you ‘Free Meek Mill’ T-shirts for now the Philly rapper has been released from jail.
Back in July rapper Meek Mill got slapped with a six month jail sentence for violating his parole by talking trash to the prosecutor and his parole officer on Twitter, scheduling concerts out of town without permission, refusing to provide a working telephone number and posing with guns on Instagram.
Meek was released yesterday after serving just over four months of his sentence.
The Maybach Music artist must complete community service and an unnamed court ordered treatment program before he can leave the state.
