Waka Flocka Flame & Gucci Mane Back in Jail

Waka Flocka Flame isn’t putting up a fight. The “Hard in da Paint” rapper turned himself over to authorities today on a variety of drug, gun, and gang-related charges stemming from a police raid of his home in December. According to TMZ, Waka avoided going on the lam because, as his mother Debra Antney explained, he “didn’t want to run.”

Flame, whose Atlanta house was raided on December 16 while he wasn’t in the residence, was booked on charges including possession of marijuana, a firearm by a convicted felon, hydrocodone, and a firearm during the commission of a felony; violation of probation for driving on a suspended license; and violating Georgia’s “Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act.”

Currently being held on $31,950 bond with a hearing set for tomorrow, the New York native surrendered because “he wanted to do the right thing and didn’t want to run.” Coincidentally, his mentor Gucci Mane headed to jail today after he was arrested while in Waka’s house during the raid. He is facing a 17-month sentence if found guilty for violating his probation.

I just don’t get it! These Rappers make all this money, have the legal opportuity to live a decent lifestyle, and they always F it up.  These are the idols our kids are looking up too, it makes no sense.  We gotta do better!!

Jazmine Sullivan Announces Departure From Music

Jazmine Sullivan made a shocking announcement on Twitter today. The R&B singer revealed to thousands of fans that she intends to take a break from music, placing her budding career on hold.

Interesting, I wonder why she is breaking from music. She is such a talented singer/songwriter and I love her range as a singer. Maybe she just needs time to find herself and what she really wants to do.
