A man has admitted to being involved in the attack on rap star Tupac Shakur in 1994, inside Manhattan’s Quad Studios in November of 1994, after allegedly being paid $2,500 dollars by James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond.

Dexter Isaac, a former friend of Rosemond, is an inmate currently serving life in prison for murder, robbery and other offenses. 

Isaac came forward Wednesday (June 15th) with the information on the eve of what would be Tupac’s 40th birthday. 

He confessed to his involvement in the November 30th, 1994 robbery of Tupac Shakur to , after Jimmy Henchman identified him in a statement, relating to Henchman’s indictment for dealing numerous kilos of cocaine. 

“I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman],”  “I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie’s] mothers some closure.”

Henchman, who is currently on the run from Federal officials, claimed that Dexter Isaac, along with other incarcerated inmates were cooperating with the government in an investigation of his alleged drug dealing activities. 

“If the government is relying on informants like Winston “Winnie” Harris, a convicted drug dealer and Jamaican deportee, who came to me and motioned via hand signal that he was forced to wear a wire and begged me to skip town or Dexter Isaac who is serving life in prison plus 30 years, then I’m sure I will not be offered a fair trial,” Henchman said in a statement released  in May of 2011. 

Dexter Isaac said that he decided to confess to the robbery to prove Jimmy Henchman’s involvement, in addition to clearing his conscience for his role in the robbery. 

 Isaac said he was comfortable going on record relating to the robbery and shooting which resulted in Pac being reportedly shot, five times.

Since the statute of limitations had expired, legally, no one can be prosecuted for the assault at this time. 

 Isaac was a lifelong friend of Jimmy Henchmen, who helped the former mogul set up his first company, Henchman Entertainment, in 1989. 

Isaac claims he never cooperated with the government in any investigation, and Jimmy Henchman’s allegations infuriated him. 

Isaac, who is also from Brooklyn, has long been suspected of being involved in the Quad shooting of Tupac Shakur, along with an associate name Spencer “Scooter” Bowens, who is also serving a life sentence and another man named George Roland Campbell.

According to the confession, Dexter Isaac not only knows what happened to Tupac Shakur’s jewelry, but he claims he is also in possession of the Hip-Hop star’s chain that was taken during the altercation on that infamous night on November 7, 1994. 

The shooting on November 30th, was the start of a deadly feud that resulted in the murders of both Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. 

Their murders have never been solved. 

Isaac was indicted by the government in 1998 and was subsequently sentenced to life in prison for murder, robbery, fraud and witness intimidation charges.

Beyonce is on her full promotional campaign.  Despite her album leaking earlier this week, she has maintained a low profile.  Leaving many people to wonder if she will move the release of her highly-anticipated album “4.”   She takes the cover of  ‘Dazed and Confused’ magazine oozing that sex appeal we know and love her for.

Beyoncé’s fourth album 4 hit the Internet on Tuesday, a full three weeks ahead of its scheduled release date. The 29-year-old singer has taken to Facebook to address the leak.

“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans,” she wrote. “When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”

Her label Columbia Records quickly stepped in to take action, removing links and tweets to the music. Sony Music is expected to ship around 1 million units of the album to stores on June 28.

While Lauryn Hill recently announced that she was pregnant with her sixth child, the father, reportedly Rohan Marley, declared via Twitter that the child was not his.

“2 Things, I’m not married and I don’t have anyone expecting anything,” Rohan wrote from his Twitter account.

Responding to inquiries from other Twitter followers about his marriage to Lauryn Hill and the pregnancy, he stated that his previous statement was in fact true .

Lauryn Hill hasn’t put out an full length album since the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, in what many speculate has been due to family and responsibilities associated with having five kids.

“Trust me, the info out there is so incorrect for so many years… Thx for twitter. I check a few things,” Rohan continued to Tweet.

The Grammy-award-winning artist recently returned to the stage to partake in the Rock the Bells tour this summer, with an all-star lineup that featured Nas, Erykah Badu, Cypress Hill, Mobb Deep, Black Star, Raekwon, Ghostface, Slaughterhouse and many others.

Lauryn Hill made the announcement during a show at Chene Park in Detroit on  Saturday (June 4th).

Lauryn Hill has remained coy about her pregnancy, but the reclusive superstar took a moment to address her private life in a letter to her fans. The former Fugees frontwoman is expecting her sixth child later this year. Rumors of her pregnancy spread after she wore baggy clothes to cover her baby bump at many of her concerts, hinting at her growing family during a recent L.A. show.

In a message posted via Twitter, Ms. Hill apologized for being tardy to her gigs, attributing it to the pregnancy. “The majority of these dates were planned in advance of me knowing about the continued growth of my family (wink, wink),” she wrote.

She went on to thank fans for their support and expressed her eagerness to return to the stage. “Let’s do it real soon,” she added.  Read the letter below.

Now that’s she’s conquered music, Nicki Minaj has set her sights on Hollywood. T he head Barb has expressed plans to pursue acting and has one big-time actor on her wish list of co-stars.

“I went to school to be an actress. I never expected to be a rapper. It just fell in my lap,” Nicki told Entertainment Weekly at the MTV Movie Awards. “So I would like to get an acting gig. I hope that when I am done with the tour I can go back and do some acting. That is my long-term goal.”

And just who would she like to work with? “Will Smith, because he’s a very successful rapper turned actor and therefore a role model,” she explained. “And [Alice in Wonderland director] Tim Burton because I love his crazy imagination. He comes up with these characters that are just so fascinating and the costumes and just creates these whole worlds.”

Before she hits the big screen, the “Super Bass” rapper is polishing her set for Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatale” tour. “I want to go all out and make it over the top and theatrical. There will be costume changes and hair changes. Lots of sexy outfits and dancing,” she said. “I don’t know how to do things normal and boring. Why? People pay good money for concert tickets these days.”
