Lil’ Kim Supports Floyd Mayweather in Court

Lil’ Kim traveled across the country to show her loyalty for her friend Floyd Mayweather, Jr. The Queen Bee was in the courtoom as the boxing champ faced a judge in his domestic violence case in Las Vegas on Friday. Mayweather, who plead guilty, will have until June 1 to turn himself in to serve a 90-day jail sentence. Wearing high-heeled boots and holding a designer bag, Kim spoke briefly to the cameramen on her way out of the courthouse.

Kim and Floyd have become great friends recently and the rapper spent part of her holiday vacation hanging with him, 50 Cent, and other members of the Money Team. According to TMZ, Kim is putting her career on hold for the boxer while he deals with his case, canceling New Year’s Eve appearances and delaying her EP so she can be by his side.

Brandy and Monica Reunite in the Studio

Fourteen years after topping the charts with their hit “The Boy Is Mine,” Brandy and Monica reunited in the studio to make history again. Both ladies flew down to Miami to record with hitmaker Rico Love on a follow-up to their Grammy-winning duet, which spent 13 weeks at No. 1 in 1998.

“We have Both Been Blessed Beyond Measure..14years later,” tweeted Monica, while Brandy responded, “I love you so much Mo❤thank u!”

Monica’s seventh album New Life and Brandy’s as-yet-untitled RCA/Chameleon Records debut are both due this spring.

The VH1 show “Single Ladies” needs extras for its upcoming season.

Casting folks say they are “searching for super attractive, sexy, hot African American women ages 25-35 height and weight proportionate.” who are available Jan. 20.

Wiz Khalifa Sued for $2.3M over ‘Black and Yellow’

A Pittsburgh rapper is suing fellow hometown artist Wiz Khalifa for $2.3 million over allegations that he stole the hit song “Black and Yellow.”

 

Max Warren, who performs under the stage name Maxamillion, says Khalifa’s chart-topper “Black and Yellow” was swiped from his own song “Pink N Yellow.”

Warren says he copyrighted “Pink N Yellow” in 2008 and Khalifa copyrighted “Black and Yellow” in 2011.

A Parma, Ohio, man was stabbed by his friend just an hour before the New Year rang in 2012 because he learned that songstress Beyonce was married to rapper Jay-Z.

Friends Mark E. Kozelka and Ronald Deavers got into a heated discussion about the marital status of the superstar diva while watching music videos. According to a police report, Deavers, 31, became irrational when Kozelka, 48, broke the news to him that Beyonce was in fact married to Jay-Z.

Parma Police Detective Marty Compton then says Deavers exploded into a rage:

Both males then faced off during the heated argument, Deavers pulled out a knife and stabbed Kozelka in his left side

The name of the company is DONDA. DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas. I used to blog all the time an fit was a way to get my opinion out…Dr Dre redesigned headphones and made more impact off of one product. I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts…app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist ..doctors, scientist,teachers. DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…I want to put creatives in a room together with like minds that are all waaaay doper than me. We want to help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel. ..To dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need.. To marry our wants and needs. This will all take time but I wanted everyones to know what I really care about… I care about people. I care about my fans..I care about people who have never heard of me… There are over 7 billion people on the planet now. The Watch the Throne tour was a small example of what a Donda Experience can be. Nick Cannon Hospitalized for ‘Mild Kidney Failure’

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s holiday vacation was cut short after Nick suffered a “mild kidney failure.”

 Cannon, 31, was hospitalized while vacationing in Aspen, Colorado, with his wife and twins. Mariah shared the news with her fans on Twitter and via her website.

“Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman,” tweeted the pop diva along with a photo of her lying on his bed at the hospital.

She expressed that Nick was in a lot of pain, and asked her fans for their prayers while he recovers. Read her letter below.

This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.

We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.

We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.

Amber Rose Blames Kim K for Destroying Her Relationship with Kanye West

Kim Kardashian has always insisted that she and Kanye West are just friends, but that may not be the truth after all!

In an exclusive interview with Star magazine, Kanye’s ex girlfriend, Amber Rose, revealed that the reason she and the singer split was because of the reality star’s devious cheating ways.

“Kim is one of the main reasons why me and Kanye are not together,” Amber exclusively told Star. “She’s a homewrecker!”

According to Amber, she was dating Kanye when he and Kim first hooked up — and Kim was dating NFL star Reggie Bush!

“They were both cheating,” Amber, 28, said.  “They were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other.”

Amber says it was Kim, 31, who instigated the whole affair by calling, texting and sending racy photos of herself to Kanye.

Paris Exhibition Explores History of ‘Human Zoos’

A fascinating exhibition in Paris explores the history of so-called “human zoos,” predominately from Africa, which were the objects of curiosity and fascination in a bygone era.

On view at the famous Quai Branly Museum, it tells the story of the men, women and children, who were shipped to Europe and showcased like zoo animals in circuses, stage shows and reconstructed villages.

The practice, which involved indigenous peoples brought from Asia, Africa, Oceania and America, started in the 16th century and continued until the mid-20th century in Europe and also in the U.S., Japan and Australia.

The exhibition, entitled “Human Zoos: The Invention of Savage”, explores these “freak” shows as a mass entertainment phenomenon, which captivated an estimated 1.4 billion spectators who, between 1800 and 1958, marveled at more than 35,000 individuals throughout the world.

The exotic shows began to decline in the 1930s with changing public interest and the advent of the big screen. The last “living spectacles” were Congo villagers exhibited in Belgium in 1958.

The story, told through 600 items and film archives, shows how what started as a curiosity fed into pseudo-science in the mid-1800s, as researchers sought out physical evidence for their theories of differing races.
