The Bitter Battle Between Tracy Morgan and His Mother

A bitter war of words has broken out between 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan and his estranged mother.

Alicia Warden has hit out at her son for failing to stump up the cash to help her make mortgage repayments on her Ohio home.

The 61-year-old faces – who owes $25,000 – faces foreclosure on her house unless she makes a minimum payment by February 23.

Morgan, who is worth an estimated $18m, is said to have offered to chip in $2,000 towards the debt.

But after asking for financial help from her son, Warden turned down the comparatively small sum he was offering.

Morgan has now issued a statement after his mother spoke to the media about her plight.

He said: ‘I am saddened that these untrue stories about me have people questioning my commitment to my family,’ the New York Daily News reports.

‘For reasons that are between us, I have not seen my mother in 11 years, and outside of a random call here and there have had little to no contact with my sister.

‘We all have personal family issues that we have to deal with in life, but I choose to deal with mine in private and not through the media.’

In response, Walden told the publication: ‘There’s nothing for me to lie about,’ adding that Morgan landed the first blow when he wrote about his family and upbringing in his memoir I Am The New Black back in 2009.

She went on: ‘People are saying that we’re airing our dirty laundry, but he’s the one who wrote about us first. He can’t keep telling lies and expect me to be quiet about it.’

Last night Warden appeared on Youngstown, Ohio, CBS affiliate WKBN-TV and added more fuel to the fire.

She said she still loves her son, but emotively said: ‘He hasn’t seen me in a long time. Now he sees how I look.’

Earlier in the week Morgan’s sister Asia Morgan,41, waded in a blasted her brother.

‘Because of the way he’s treating our mother, all bets are off,” says Asia.

‘He’s never been a nice person. And money’s just made it worse.’

Warden’s utilities are also on the point of being turned off after she failed to keep up payments having lost her job a year ago.

Asia Morgan confirmed that her brother had initially agreed to pay off the mortgage loan but changed his mind after accusing his mother of giving an interview to the media.

Ja Rule Earns High School Diploma With The Help of His Prison Cellmate

Ja Rule currently sits in jail serving a two-year prison sentence on weapons and tax evasion charges. While he pays his dues for the crimes committed, the ‘Always on Time’ creator has managed to hit the books and earn his GED in the process.

According to the New York Daily News, the 36-year-old father of three, who went to prison in June 2011, was inspired to continue his education after speaking with Dennis Kozlowski, an inmate and former Tyco International CEO who is serving eight to 25 years for using the company’s money as his own.

“I was studying for my GED and Koz came in and talked to me and said, if you need any help, let me know,” the rapper revealed.

Nick Cannon Plans To Remake “HOUSE PARTY”

Can Nick Cannon pull off a classic? The host of ‘America’s Got Talent’ is set to create a film that will serve as a remake of the 90’s hit House Party. This is the first time the actor, who recently suffered from kidney failure, will step into the director’s chair.

“[I’m] taking a lot of young hip-hop acts of today and putting them in a movie with a bunch of comedians, make something happen there,” said Cannon at Bleu magazine’s cover party, where he was hailed “Man of the Year.”

Cannon didn’t reveal who he’ll be including in the project, which is being distributed through Lionsgate, but we’re sure his protégé Cory Guns will have a great role.

It would be great if he could get some cameos from the original stars.

Whitney And Bobby Reunite For Dinner With Their Daughter

Three years after their split, Whitney Houston described her troubled married to Bobby Brown with the poignant words:  ‘He was my drug’.

Despite their turbulent relationship, which ended after 14 years, the pair appear to be getting along just fine these days.

They were spotted stepping out for a bite to eat with their daughter Bobbi Kristina.  The trio seemed in great spirits as they left the trendy Beverly Hills eatery after a slap-up meal together.

Whitney, 48, left the restaurant alone, and was followed shortly by Bobby and their 18-year-old daughter, who sweetly held hands.

Their family meal had evidently been lighthearted and enjoyable as the three each could be seen beaming as they made their way home.

Don Cornelius’ Ex-Wife To Receive Huge Life Insurance Payout

According to TMZ, Don Cornelius died with 2 life insurance policies worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the ex-wife he hated will get all the money.

Don’s breakup with Viktoria Chapman Cornelius was brutal. He was convicted of domestic abuse and, according to him, she pepper sprayed him multiple times.

During the divorce in 2009, Don said in legal docs, ‘I am 72 years old. I have significant health issues. I want to finalize this divorce before I die.”

The divorce was indeed finalized later that year, but there’s a provision in the settlement agreement that says Don must make Viktoria the beneficiary of both of his life insurance policies — totaling around $300,000 in benefits.

Under California law, if a policyholder commits suicide within 2 years of the time the policy is issued, the company can deny payment. But Don had the policy for more than 2 years, so Viktoria — the woman he despised — will get the loot.
