NBA Licenses Custom-Made High Heels For Women

The men of the NBA have never shied away from making fashion statements. There have been Daisy Duke-style shorts, shants (the baggy hybrid of shorts and pants), Pat Riley Armani suits, Air Jordans, Dennis Rodman tattoos, piercings, and hair dyes, and Allen Iverson sideways caps and corn rows. This season the Urkel-meets-Brooklyn-hipster costume is making headlines, best exemplified by the colorful wire framed glasses sans lenses worn by the Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade and LeBron James, and the big boy fishy, teddy bear and umbrella-themed polo shirts worn by the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook.

But the latest trend the NBA is hoping to bank on is a new offering for its female fans: high heels.

Yesterday the league announced its license agreement with Orlando-based shoe designer Herstar for a line of heels that includes two designs available for all 30 teams. One is a 6-inch crystal beaded version currently retailing for $275, the other a 4-inch microsuede version retailing for $99.

Kanye West Hit by Burglars

Everybody knows Kanye West is overseas on the Watch the Throne tour and that includes burglars.  Early this morning LAPD were called to Kanye West’s house in the Hollywood Hills to report a break-in.  It is not know what was taken but according to TMZ the burglars left a pile of Kanye’s stuff abandoned in the driveway.

Rihanna Denies Use of Body Double in Armani Ad (Video)

Rihanna is cursing out UK newspaper The Sun again – this time for reporting that a body double was used in her new ad for Armani.

The singer tweeted: “Ok @thesunnewspaper, this is the only way I could say this to you!!! F—K YOU…AND yo baggy ass condom.”

The commercial, seen below, shows Rihanna rolling around in Armani underwear while she’s apparently having a nightmare, but according to the Sun’s story, the shots of her bosom and derriére supposedly belong to model Jahnassa Aicken.

The paper also claimed that Rihanna’s management insisted the body double sign a nondisclosure agreement prohibiting her from talking about the job.

Additionally, The Sun reported that Jahnassa received a “modest sum” for her work and was cast in the ads after serving as a stand-in for the singer when her “We Found Love” video was shot in Northern Ireland.

Shaunie tells The Insider

Kobe and Vanessa Not Ready to Throw in the Towel

Kobe and Vanessa Bryant have called off their divorce and are attempting to work it out…

Vanessa Bryant will NOT sign documents to make her divorce final … at least for now … because TMZ has learned, she and Kobe are working on a full reconciliation.

We’ve learned Kobe and Vanessa are trying to work out the issues that caused her to file for divorce back in December. They spend a lot of time together but he has not officially moved back in with her.

Under California law, Vanessa has to wait 6 months before she can file final docs making the divorce official. The 6-month mark hits this weekend, so Vanessa could end the marriage as early as Monday.

Amber Rose is selling a bunch of stuff on Ebay in a six day sale and a quick stroll around Google images shows most of this stuff is from the Kanye years. Oh, and in the description for the sale Amber refers to herself as a socialite.
