Music industry executive and manager Chris Lighty was found dead at 11:30am Thursday morning from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. According to confirmed reports, Chris was found lying faceup with a 9-mm. pistol by his side.
Things hadn’t been going so well for Chris as the NY Daily News reports he had just had a spat with his estranged wife Veronica and allegedly owed the IRS $5 million, which he paid most of after selling his apartment for $5.6 mill. Reportedly, he still owed money for back taxes, as well as to his bank
The shocking suicide followed a wild spat between Lighty and his 36-year-old wife, Veronica, who filed for divorce last year. Moving trucks were at the home, as the veteran music manager prepared to move out of the three-story townhouse, sources said.
Law enforcement sources said Lighty’s wife of seven years told police he was facing financial woes that include a $5 million debt to the IRS. However, the Associated Press reported that Lighty paid off most of what he owed by selling a Manhattan apartment for $5.6 million in October.
Lighty still owed more than $330,000 in state and federal taxes, the AP reported. And in April, he was sued by City National Bank for not paying them after he had overdrawn his account by $53,584.
His 17-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son were inside the W. 232nd St. home and left when the argument erupted. They were in a park nearby when Lighty, who has three other children, stepped outside and shot himself, sources said.

About a month ago there were rumors that rapper Beanie Sigel was up against the wall financially, doing anything he had to survive and nursing a nasty syrup habit. Welp, last night Beans got caught with guns, cash, and a bottle of codeine syrup.
According to reports, Beanie Sigel was arrested last night after the car he was riding in was pulled over and cops found guns and drugs. The driver was caught with several prescription bottles and some weed and Beanie was carrying a bottle of codeine syrup with the label scratched off and $4,000 in cash. There was also a gun in the center console. Both Beans and the driver are convicted felons and were taken into custody and booked on gun and drug charges. Beanie Sigel was supposed to turn himself in in two weeks to begin his two year prison sentence for failing to file tax returns in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

Kelly Osbourne is standing by her “Fashion Police” co-star Joan Rivers by putting her two cents into the comic’s twitter beef with Rihanna.
Kelly appeared to suggest the 24-year-old singer should get a ”sense of humor” as she defended Rivers’ tweet blasting Rihanna for saying she still ”loves” her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
Kelly wrote on Twitter: ”W/ the greatest of respect 2 a young lady of whom I love please get a sense of humor @Joan_Rivers paved the way 4 all us opinionated ladies! (sic)”
As previously reported, Rihanna recently explained to Oprah Winfrey that she still has feelings for Brown, who she split from in February 2009 after he assaulted her, saying: ”We love each other and we probably always will.”

Dallas Cowboys’ receiver, Dez Bryant, has a tough time staying out of trouble. Coach Jason Garrett is going above and beyond his call of duty to help Bryant and his family with their tribulations. “What we’ve tried to do is come up with a plan for Dez like we would for any player who we feel like needs our support, and help him be his best as a player and as a person,” Garrett said. “And the accountability factor is an important part of that with him and with anybody on our football team.”
Bryant was arrested in July for allegedly assaulting his mother. Although she has said she doesn’t want authorities to pursue charges against him, he still stands a chance of being disciplined by the NFL. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press in an email Monday that the league “will review the facts once the case is resolved by the court.” He said the team’s guidelines for Bryant will have nothing to do with league discipline.
“We’re going to control what we can control as an organization, and Dez has done everything that we’ve asked him to do up to this point both on and off the football field,” Garrett said. “Any decision about that is out of our control.”
Former NFL wide receiver and reality star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is officially having the worst month ever. Johnson was arrested for allegedly head butting his wife Evelyn Lozada was cut from the Miami Dolphins on television, and now he is facing a year in prison due to the head butting altercation.
According to reports, Ochocinco could be placed behind bars for head butting Lozada because he previously had a domestic violence charge in 2000. Chad plead no contest in a California court for slapping his then-girlfriend after they got into a heated argument. He was sentenced to community service for that incident. Because of that, Johnson’s current misdemeanor domestic violence charge could be upgraded to a felony. If the prosecution chooses to upgrade the charge, Johnson could be facing a year in the slammer.
