Usher to Launch Album with Interactive Live Stream Concert

Usher is connecting with his fans around the globe for a one-of-a-kind concert event.  The R&B superstar has teamed up with American Express, VEVO, and YouTube for a live stream concert on the eve of his album release.

The art-in-motion experience is part of American Express’ livestream music series, “American Express Unstaged.”  Usher’s exclusive performance will be livestreamed from the Hammersmith Apollo in London, at 4 p.m. EST / 1 p.m. PST on Monday, June 11, at www.youtube.com/UsherVEVO.

The show will celebrate the release of his seventh studio album Looking 4 Myself, available June 12.  Fans worldwide can virtually take the stage with Usher by creating a customized digital dancer featuring some of Usher’s best choreographed dance moves.

“I am excited to introduce my new album Looking 4 Myself with a worldwide performance in such an innovative way,” said Usher.  “It’s very exciting to interact with my fans from a global stage through American Express Unstaged’s live stream.  Using the cutting-edge ‘take the stage’ technology will allow my fans to join me virtually via their dancing avatars on stage at London’s renowned Hammersmith Apollo Theatre.  Be there on June 11th.”

Looking 4 Myself features the singles “Climax,” “Scream,” and the Rick Ross-assisted “Lemme See,” along with appearances from Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, and Luke Steele.

Lil’ Kim Brings Out Missy Elliott and Eve at ‘Return of the Queen’ Tour

Lil’ Kim kicked off her “Return of the Queen” tour with some fellow members of hip-hop royalty. The Queen Bee had the Paradise Theater in the Bronx buzzing when she brought Eve and Missy Elliott to the stage to perform “Hot Boyz.”

The crowd went wild as Eve delivered her verse from the 1999 single, while a shy Missy danced on stage in a cloud of smoke. Kimmy Blanco also rubbed elbows with Drita Davanzo of VH1’s “Mob Wives,” Juelz Santana, Cassidy, and Mr. Cheeks, who joined her on “The Jump Off.”

“This was my night ya’ll!!” tweeted Eve. “@LilKim who killed it onstage tonight!!! @MissyEllliott and Pepa from Salt and Pep.”

Jay-Z Announces ‘Made In America’ Festival Going Down in Philly this Labor Day (Video)

Anything Jay-Z does is news these days. He called a press conference to announce he would be putting together a music festival in Philadelphia on Labor Day Weekend.

With Philly representer Freeway standing off to the side, Jay-Z made his announcement on the steps of the Art Museum. Our friends at Hot 107.9 Philly were on hand for Jay’s announcement and fans’ reactions. Blue Ivy’s poppa explained his goal with the festival is to push the culture forward with good music and good vibes. The show will be produced by LiveNation and boasts more than 28 acts. Jay-Z did proclaim about 70% of the acts are already onboard and excited for the festival.

Fans are appreciative of the festival and can’t wait to see who Jay-Z got to perform. Jay-Z plans on bringing artists from R&B, Hip-Hop, rock, Latin, and Dance. It’s sure to be lots of fun going down in Philly on September 1st and 2nd. The only question I have is being that LiveNation is producing it, how much are those tickets going to be. You know they are known for crazy expensive ticket prices.
