Last week it was announced that Willow Smith was no longer attached to the Annie remake being produced by her father Will Smith and Jay Z.

Over the weekend Will explained why Willow dropped out.  While promoting Sister Soulja’s new book ‘A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story’ at Temple University, Will explained,

“In the past eighteen months, I have spent a lot of time focusing on the emotional aspect of my life and my family. In 2010, in one year, our family had the “Karate Kid”, we had “Whip my Hair”, we had Hawthorne, and at the end of the year, we did the Nobel Concert when Barack Obama won his Nobel Peace Prize. Don’t be clapping yet, that wears you out. The thing that had become very clear to me is the danger of a material world and focusing so hard on coming up with money or a house or a job. You focus so hard on those things, and sometimes you can lose focus on why you are doing it in the first place. The only reason to do any of that is to have love.”

“Willow was supposed to be doing “Annie”, we got Jay-Z to do the movie, got the studio to come in and Willow had such a difficult time on tour with “Whip my Hair” and she said, “You know Daddy, I don’t think so” and I said, “baby, hold up! I said no,no,no, listen, you’ll be in New York with all of your friends and Beyoncé will be there. You will be singing and dancing,” and she looked at me and said, “Daddy, I have a better idea, how about I just be 12.”

“I’m really learning through Willow the necessity that we have to snap ourselves back and refocus on the emotional needs of the people that we love. Someone’s emotional needs can be very very different from your dreams and what you think they should be doing and where they are supposed to be.”

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose are gearing up to deliver an all natural birth at home.  They recently gave an interview describing the process and preparation.  Amber is due February 26th.

During a recent stop to Big Boy’s Neighborhood, her fiancé Wiz revealed:

It consists of her being in a whole lot of pain, with no medicine, she’s gonna thug it out. We are going to have a midwife and a doula at the crib. She’s going to be at the pool and it’s going to be a relaxing environment and when she ready she’s going to tell me when to stick my hands down there and pull the baby out.

Amber also revealed that she made the decision to do an at-home, all natural birth after viewing a documentary titled, “The Business of Being Born,” and that she’d prefer to deliver her baby the way women used to before there were hospitals:

He doesn’t like hospitals, I don’t like hospitals, we feel like that’s the place that people go when they die and I’m not sick. I feel like from the beginning of time women squatted and had their babies and that exactly what I want to do. I just want to go full throttle, I don’t want no medication. We take home birthing classes to teach us how to do it, and we’re gonna have our midwife and when the baby’s head comes out he’s gonna be Dr. Wiz. He’s gonna be the first person to touch the child. No doctors, no gloves.

Wiz also added:

It’s cool to learn about and then like learn about how important that connection is.  I’m excited, I’m ready. I mean I’m nervous too, but it’s a good nervous, it’s not like a confused nervous like, “What do I do?”

Jada Pinkett-Smith gains strength from daughter Willow Smith. The actress and singer recently took to Facebook to dote on her daughter’s ability to be emotionally confident and dependent at a young age.

“I have been in special wonder of my daughter as I watch her grow amongst men (father,brothers and uncles) who love her deeply,” Smith writes. “I have been able to witness how a young lady develops from a little girl into a young woman with emotional confidence. I have never possessed emotional confidence. I was confident I could make it in this world alone which hindered…my sweetness and hindered my trust. But today, I know I am not alone.”

This is not the first time that Jada has talked about her daughter with social media fans. A little over a month ago, the ‘Madagascar 3′ star took to Facebook to defend her daughter’s decision to cut her hair saying, “This is a world where women/girls are constantly reminded that they don’t belong to themselves…I made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are HER domain. Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair.”

The Young Money family just got a little bigger.  Tyga and girlfriend Blac Chyna welcomed their first child, a boy named King Cairo Stevenson.

The baby was born on Tuesday in Los Angeles and weighed 7 lbs., 1 oz.  The new father shared his happiness with his Twitter followers.  “Most Amazing feeling ever,” he tweeted along with a photo of him holding his new bundle of joy.

“Welcome King Cairo Stevenson 7lbs 1 oz ……. #blessed !!!!” wrote King Cairo’s mother.  “40 long weeks …. So happy words can’t explain !!!”

The couple was rumored to be engaged earlier this year, but Tyga squashed the reports.  Blac Chyna stars alongside Tyga in the “Rack City” music video.

The 22-year-old rapper will head out on the road with Nicki Minaj later this month and just purchased a new mansion in Calabasas, Calif., for his new family.
