Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, & Willow Smith Make a Splash at Kids’ Choice Awards

Slime, screams, and Smiths ruled the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, March 31. Will Smith hosted the 25th annual show at USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles, honoring kids’ top choices in TV, movies, music, and sports. It was a family affair as the entire Smith family including a pink-haired Willow, Jaden, Jada Pinkett, and Trey cheered on Will, who kicked off the show by performing “Can U Handle This.”

A blonde Nicki Minaj turned heads in a colorful outfit made of tickets with stuffed teddy bears covering her heels. She presented the orange blimp for Favorite Music Group with Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson.

Ludacris walked the orange carpet with his daughter Karma, Diggy Simmons stayed fresh in a blue motorcycle jacket, and family man Travis Barker kicked it with his kids.

Katy Perry performed her hit “Part of Me,” while First Lady Michelle Obama presented Taylor Swift with The Big Help Award in recognition of her philanthropic endeavors. Cee Lo Green was hoping to get slimed, but instead got “ice cream sundae’d” by Will Smith, complete with a cherry on top.

The highlight came at the end when Justin Bieber was showered with green slime while accepting the award for Favorite Male Singer, drenching himself and Will Smith.

Rihanna fired up the 54th Annual Grammy Awards in a black backless dress with a plunging neckline.  The blonde bombshell, who won the Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for Kanye West’s “All of the Lights,” designed the outfit with Armani.  According to RiRi, the show-stopper was inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface and is “simple, sexy, and gangsta at the same time.”  She made it a family affair, posing on the red carpet alongside her father Ronald and youngest brother Rajad

LL Cool J to be First Grammy Host in Seven Years

The Grammys have appointed LL Cool J to be the ceremony’s first official host in seven years.

The star, whose hits include Mama Said Knock You Out and I Need Love, will follow in the footsteps Ellen DeGeneres and Queen Latifah.

In recent years, the position of “official” host has been replaced by a string of guest presenters.

Kanye West, Adele and Taylor Swift are among the acts expected to win awards at the event on 12 February.

“I’m thrilled to be part of music’s biggest night,” said LL Cool J, whose real name is James Todd Smith.

“I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show… is a dream come true.”

Performers at the ceremony have already been announced, and will include Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga – who will open and close the show.
