The 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards went down in Atlanta this past Saturday, September 28. Part of the weekend festivities was the green carpet festivities where artists get interviewed, pose for flicks and hopefully show off their good taste in fashion. No sleep till Brooklyn. MTV rolled out the red carpet at the Barclays Center for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. Hip-hop, R&B, pop, and rock stars dressed up and showed out. The show featured showstopping performances from Lady GaGa, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Drake. and plenty more.
The BET Awards always bring out the STARS and this year was no different from Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union to T.I. and Charlie Wilson. Kelly Rowland was gorgeous and glamorous while attending the 85th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday. The sexy singer worked the red carpet in a silk black-and-white Donna Karan Atelier gown and put in work as a reporter during the official pre-show. She interviewed Hollywood A-listers including Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Zoe Saldana.

The 2013 Grammy Awards went down tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. All the A list celebrities were on deck as the strolled the red carpet bringing their “A” game, from Beyonce to Nas, Rihanna to Frank Ocean, the stars truly aligned on music’s biggest night. Check out the photos:

Chaka Khan and Halle Berry were among those getting the royal treatment at the 2013 BET Honors ceremony, held Saturday in Washington DC at the Warner Theater. The ceremony is scheduled to air Feb. 11 on BET.
The Oscar winner was praised for her charity work with domestic violence victims at Los Angeles’ Jenesse Center, and she used her acceptance speech to call on women to speak up about problems at home.
“Many women don’t speak out and they don’t seek help,” she said. “By honoring the work we’re doing at the Jenesse Center, maybe it will encourage others to stand up and be strong and face the reality of what’s happening to them – and have the courage to make a change.”
Frank Ocean has had a tremendous year and 2013 is looking even better. The Odd Future singer-songwriter leads the pack with six nominations at the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
In addition to Ocean, Jay-Z, Kanye West, The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, and Fun. also score six nods, it was announced on Wednesday night.
The “Thinkin Bout You” singer picks up nominations in the coveted categories of Record of the Year, Best New Artist, and Album of the Year for his critically-acclaimed debut Channel Orange.
He reacted to the news by simply tweeting, “wow,” while his mother added, “Six Grammy nominations tonight! I’m still shaking. What can I say y’all? So proud of my baby!!!”

It was ladies’ night as BET presented its annual “Black Girls Rock!” celebration at the Loews Paradise Theatre in New York City on Saturday. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, the star-studded affair honored the achievements of women of color with heartfelt performances, tributes, and special awards. This year’s honorees included Dionne Warwick (Living Legend Award), Alicia Keys (Rock Star Award), and Janelle Monáe (Young, Gifted, & Black Award).
Ciara thrilled with some new moves and new material off her upcoming album One Woman Army, and was joined by Missy Elliott for “1, 2 Step.” Brandy delivered a knock-out performance of “Wildest Dreams,” and Keyshia Cole tore the house down with her new single “Trust and Believe” off her upcoming album Woman to Woman.
Alicia ignited the stage with her female anthem “Girl on Fire,” while Luke James, Anthony Hamilton, and Eric Benét serenaded the ladies with Tom Jones’ classic “She’s a Lady.”
