Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Announce Twins’ Names
The latest additions to the Carey-Cannon household now have names. Mariah and Nick have revealed what they’ll be calling their newborn twins.
The couple’s son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon, reports CNN. The top floor of Mariah’s New York City penthouse is called the Moroccan Room because of its Moroccan-inspired decor, and is where Nick proposed to his wife. Scott is Nick’s middle name, as well as his grandmother’s maiden name.
Their daughter will go by the name of Monroe Cannon in honor of Marilyn Monroe, who has been a lifelong inspiration to the pop songbird. She even purchased the late actress’ white piano at an auction. Mariah’s publicist says the girl does not have a middle name because Mariah herself does not have one.

VIA: CNN WIRE PRESS
(CNN) — Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil, is dead, officials said — almost 10 years after the attacks that killed about 3,000 people.
The founder and leader of al Qaeda was killed by U.S. forces Monday in a mansion in Abbottabad, north of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, along with other family members, a senior U.S. official told CNN.
In an address to the nation Sunday night, U.S. President Barack Obama called bin Laden’s death “the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat al Qaeda.”
Half a world away, the scene outside the White House was one of pure jubilation.
Hundreds reveled through the night, chanting “USA! USA!” Others chanted “Hey, hey, hey, goodbye!” in reference to the demise of bin Laden. Many also spontaneously sang the national anthem.
In New York, a cheering crowd gathered at ground zero — the site where the twin towers of the World Trade Center once stood. Strains of “God Bless America” could be heard intermittently trickling through the crowd.

Rihanna Breaks Chart Records with 10th No. 1 Single ‘S&M’
Rihanna is whipping the charts into a frenzy. The pop siren soars to the top of the singles chart this week with “S&M,” smashing records in her path.
Her raunchy Loud single and its remix featuring Britney Spears moves 2-1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, becoming her 10th No. 1 hit. But that isn’t her only accomplishment. Rihanna earns 10 No. 1s on the Hot 100 in the shortest span for a solo artist since first debuting atop the chart with “SOS” four years, 11 months ago.
At 23 years old, she also becomes the youngest artist to achieve 10 No. 1s on the Hot 100, besting labelmate Mariah Carey who was 25 at the time. Additionally, she tallied her No. 1s faster than Carey. Among all artists, the Barbados singer follows only the Beatles and the Supremes for the fastest accumulation of 10 Hot 100 No. 1s.
“10th!!!!!Now LOOK at what u did… #RihannaNavy U rocked that shit OUT!THANK U so much, this is the BEST news!U guys #werk hard #whosyadaddy,” tweeted a thrilled RiRi, who also thanked Britney Spears’ fans. “#BIGUP to @britneyspears and all her wonderful fans who supported this song.”

This was a truly collaborative and creative effort, spearheaded by Rihanna’s tireless work and aided in no small part by the incredible Britney Spears and her team. I am extremely proud of Rihanna, her ongoing dominance on the charts, and the entire IDJ team who worked so diligently to bring this one home.
