No Justice for Keith Lamont Scott

Officer Brentley Vinson

VIA CNN

Protesters took to the streets of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday night to show their disappointment with the decision to not charge an officer in the shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott.

A two-month investigation determined that Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Officer Brentley Vinson was justified in shooting  Scott in an apartment complex parking lot. Mecklenburg County District Attorney Andrew Murray said he didn’t reach the conclusions alone; a total of 15 prosecutors unanimously agreed with the decision.

The killing led to heated protests and divided the city of Charlotte. Compared to previous demonstrations over Scott’s death, a smaller crowd turned out Wednesday night, about 100 people. At least four people were arrested as police tried to corral protesters off the streets, three for obstructing traffic.

But the protesters’ message was the same as before.
“Stop killing black people,” some protesters’ T-shirts read.
“How to get away with murder: Become a cop,” said the signs.
“If we don’t get no justice then you don’t get no peace,” they chanted.

According to TMZ, Kanye West has checked out of the hospital.

After a little more than a week at UCLA Medical Center, Kanye is reportedly back at his home with his wife Kim Kardashian and their children North and Saint.

West is also under the care of his personal physician Dr. Michael Farzam. This is the same doctor who called 911 the day West was hospitalized on Nov. 21.

West is still recovering from what some have called a “nervous breakdown.” The rapper displayed bizarre behavior, including the cancellation of his “Saint Pablo World Tour” prior to being admitted.

According to the latest report, Kanye is still undergoing psychological and medical treatment.

Let’s continue to keep Yeezy in our prayers.

Vic Mensa  released a video on Facebook, explaining why he’s been protesting in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in the wake of controversy surrounding a potential dangerous pipeline on Native American soil.

“An oil company wants to build the Dakota Access Pipeline and put it through their water source to potentially and most likely contaminate water that services millions of people,” said Mensa.

“Originally,” he added. “The pipeline was supposed to be over by Bismarck, in a different area that’s not Indian country and it’s a white area. What they said was, ‘That’s too risky for their water source so we’re gonna switch it to Indian country.’ We’re not having that. We can’t have that.”

“If you believe in the inalienable rights of people,” he wrote. “The right to clean drinking water, the right to food & shelter and the right to freedom then you have to support standing rock. Get on a plane, drive, take a bus do whatever you have to do.

“December 5th the Army Corps has set an ultimatum for the people camped at standing rock, saying that they will forcibly remove the water protectors,” he added. “When one of our freedom is on the line all of our freedom is on the line. Fight for freedom.”

Vic is using his celebrity to bring light to an issue that is barely being televised or reported on!!
