Michelle Williams’ single “If We Had Your Eyes” gets a boost on the remix featuring Fantasia. Michelle is working on her fourth album Journey to Freedom with producers Harmony Samuels and Warryn Campbell, and released her second single “Fire” in September.
Back in August Moesha star Marcus T. Paulk was arrested for attacking his girlfriend because she wasn’t paying enough attention to him in the club. Marcus has been officially charged. Marcus’ girlfriend Andi Roxx told police Marcus punched her in the face and stomach and kicked her in the abdomen after accusing her of ignoring him in favor of other guys in the club. Now, according to TMZ, Marcus has been charged with domestic violence and battery and faces up to four years in jail if convicted.
Jill Scott cast in the James Brown biopic “Get On Up...” Jill Scott has been cast as one of James Brown’s wives in “Get On Up” starring Chadwick Boseman as James Brown. Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer have also been cast. “Get On Up” is set to hit theaters October 2014.
Treme star Khandi Alexander is joining the case of Scandal. Khandi has been cast in the role of Olivia Pope’s mother Maya Lewis. Khandi’s recurring role begins on Thursday via flashbacks. It was recently revealed on Scandal that President Fitzgerald Grant, and Olivia’s lover, may have shot down a plane carrying Maya Lewis on the order of Olivia’s father.
