Brandy and Monica Pay Tribute to Whitney Houston in Atlanta (Videos)

Brandy and Monica got intimate in Atlanta during a two-hour interview and performance for V103’s Conversation/Soul Session.  The R&B divas chatted with host Egypt and performed stirring sets in front of a star-studded audience including T.I., Tiny, Kandi Burruss, Toya Wright, Polow Da Don, and Jazze Pha.

But the highlight was when they paid tribute to their idol Whitney Houston.  Monica delivered a rousing rendition of “You Give Good Love,” while a visibly shaken Brandy stood behind her.  During her sit-down interview, Brandy gave the audience chills with a cover of “I Will Always Love You,” but was too emotional to do the entire song.  The ladies also dueted on their 1998 hit “The Boy Is Mine” and their latest “It All Belongs to Me.”

Someone Attacks Kim Kardashian with Flour Bomb on Red Carpet

Kim Kardashian was on the receiving end of a so-called flour bomb when an unidentified woman tossed a plastic bag of white powder at the reality star as she walked a red carpet Thursday night, according to sheriff’s deputies.  Paramedics were called to West Hollywood’s London Hotel, but Kardashian, who got most of the powder on her jacket and hair, refused treatment, reports the Associated Press. It was later determined the substance was cooking flour.
“That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me,” Kardashian told E! News. “Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that’s a whole lot of translucent powder right there.”

Whitney Houston Died from Drowning, Cocaine Found in System

Mystery has surrounded the tragic passing of  Whitney Houston.  Now the L.A. County coroner’s office has determined the official cause of the singer’s death.

A toxicology report released today concluded that Houston died from accidental drowning.  She was also found to have cocaine in her system at the time of death.  Other contributing factors included heart disease and cocaine use, according to an investigation.

The report adds that “cocaine and metabolites were identified and were contributory to the death. Marijuana, Alprazolam (Xanax), Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) were identified but did not contribute to the death.”

Houston was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton on February 11, hours before Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party.  She was 48 years old.

Investigators found no evidence of cocaine in the room.  Prescription pill bottles were discovered, but the amount of pills was “not in alarming amounts.”

Patricia Houston, who was Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager, released the following statement: “We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure.”

Stacey Dash Gets Fired Again?

Just when you thought things couldn’t get worst for Stacey Dash, they did. The Clueless star was reportedly fired from her new movie Supremacy, because of her “disrespectful attitude” on set.

Producers of the film allegedly grew tired of the 46-year-old actress’ bad attitude and decided to fire her from her role after she “disrespected” cast and crew members.

Dash was filming alongside Danny Glover and Evan Ross in the drama based on the true story of a paroled white supremacist who kills a cop and takes and African-American family hostage. Lela Rochon has reportedly replaced Dash in the movie.

Just last year there were several reports that Dash was fired from VH1′s scripted television series, Single Ladies, because of her diva-like temperament.

Despite the highly-rated first season there was speculation and rumors that Dash would not be returning to the hit series. Following the season 1 finale of Single Ladies, In Touch Weekly reported that Stacey Dash was fired. The outlet cited unnamed sources that said Dash “feuded with the cast, canceled promos and caused entirely too much drama.”

Months later, Dash announced that she would not be returning to the hit series, but had no hard feelings. “I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in Season 1.”

As for her reason for leaving Single Ladies, Dash gave the excuse that she needed to focus on parenting, “I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the Single Ladies shooting location [in Atlanta] makes this impossible.”

Based upon the latest story of Dash having problem playing nice on the set of Supremacy the rumors that she was fired from Single Ladies might actually be true.

The Bronx born actress’s big breakout role was opposite Alicia Silverstone as Dionne in the 1995 cult classic, Clueless. However, since then she has yet to star in another successful mainstream movie, and aside from Single Ladies, Dash’s career has largely faltered since.

Justice for Trayvon Martin!!!!

Police investigating the February shooting death of an unarmed black teenager by a neighbourhood watchman admitted today investigators may have missed a racial slur by the gunman during his 911 call moments before the killing.

In a call to dispatchers released at the weekend, George Zimmerman can be heard muttering what sounds like ‘f***ing c**ns’ under his breath as he followed 17-year-old shooting victim Trayvon Martin, police say.

The admission is the latest embarrassing misstep in the investigation, which has sparked outrage in the Sanford, Florida gated community as citizens call for Zimmerman’s arrest.

ABC News reports police admitted they may have missed the possible racial remark.

It comes after the Justice Department yesterday announced it would probe the incident as a possible hate crime.

‘The department will conduct a thorough and independent review of all the evidence and take appropriate action at the conclusion of the investigation,’ the agency said.
