Report: Janet Jackson in Talks to Join ‘X Factor’

Is Janet Jackson headed to “The X Factor”?  The pop icon is reportedly in preliminary talks to join the U.S. singing competition as a judge.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Janet has expressed interest in participating in Simon Cowell’s show following the departure of judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

The 45-year-old singer hinted at her possible involvement during her appearance on Anderson Cooper’s talk show on Thursday.

“Oh my God.  No, I’m not a judge on ‘The X Factor,’” she told Cooper, to which he replied, “You’re not currently a judge on ‘The X Factor.’”

She responded, “No, I am not,” while coyly adding, “But that’s all I really think I should say.”

THR previously reported that Whitney Houston was being considered for a spot on the judges’ panel alongside Cowell and L.A. Reid.  Other names being thrown around include Pink and Katy Perry.

Teyana Taylor ‘Hurt’ by Nude Photo Leak (Photo Inside)

Teyana Taylor was the latest victim of an Internet scandal when a nude photo of her surfaced this week. The 21-year-old singer expressed her anger over the leak, attributing it to a hacker who stole her phone. “It really hurt my feelings that someone would be so evil and mean,” wrote Teyana, while shooting down reports that she leaked the image herself. “I would never leak photos like that of myself. I have way more class & respect for myself as a young woman.” Teyana will release her new single “DUI” featuring Fabolous and Jadakiss on February 25. Her EP The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor is set to follow on February 29. Read her open letter below:

“Look I’m human, & just like every girl in this world, I admire my body so i take pics just like EVERY other human being. However my phone that was stolen Witch my phone was also connected to my twitter. So i guess the hacker felt the need to have a field day and leaked personal photos, and also tweet mean & hurtful things about me. I ain’t gone front It really hurt my feelings that someone would be so evil and mean. I would never leak photos like that of my self. I have so many blessings and opportunities ahead of me & I have way more class & respect for my self as a young woman. So there’s no need to seek attention. But I sincerely apologize to all my supporters and followers who had to witness the devil at work, and at what he does best. Karma is a $&@# but I’ll let God handle that. that’s it that’s all.”

Keyshia Cole Loves Her Family

Keyshia Cole has been rather quiet since the birth of her son Daniel Jr , and marriage to Daniel “Booby” Gibson. She recently tweeted a picture of her and the family.  She has definitely put family first and her musical career on the back burner.   However, she has been in the studio cooking up new material.  Her last album “Calling All Hearts,” was a lackluster effort that didn’t translate into any big hits or solid record sales.  Keyshia is currently working on a new reality show that will show her in the role as wife and mother, as she rebuilds her brand.

Lil Kim Goes in Again on Nicki Minaj talks her Grammy Performance and Wonders who is Really the Stupid Hoe (Video)

The feud continues as Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj make no apologies about going in on each other.  With Nicki Minaj releasing her buzz single, “Stupid Hoe,” as well as Lil Kim never biting her tongue when the subject is brought up; the tension between the two is obvious.  Lil Kim sat down with Bravo’s  Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens’ Live and had some choice comments for her nemesis.  Check it out below…..quite entertaining I must add!!

Beyonce Begins Work on Two New Albums

Beyoncé may have given birth to her first child last month, but the singer is already planning two new projects to write and record in 2012. Ryan Tedder, OneRepublic frontman and co-writer of Beyoncé tunes such as “Halo” and “I Was Here,” says that he and other producers are cooking up raw material that the singer will have the option to complete in the studio. “All I can say is, you kind of feed her the best that you have and she’s this phenomenal filter and she takes it all in,” Tedder told the BoomBox at the Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday.

“The conversations about her next album literally just started and there [are] two projects happening,” says Tedder. The songwriter did not divulge the nature of the projects, though he did mention that he is submitting songs about motherhood and that the singer is not planning to chase current trends in pop music. “She’s not interested in 2012, she’s interested in what’s [going to sound good for] 2013.”

It is likely that one of the two projects will be music for the soundtrack to Clint Eastwood’s forthcoming remake of A Star Is Born, which will feature the R&B star as the female lead.

Jada Dedicates Love Song and Poem to Will Squashing Divorce Rumors

Despite divorce rumors in recent months, Jada Pinkett-Smith reiterated her love for her husband yesterday by dedicating a song called “Burn” to him publicly on her Facebook page. Accompanied with the ballad–that she sang herself–was this note:

With the major losses we have experienced in the last few weeks…

We should remember…

Our lives are worth living fully.

Therefore…

Our risks are worthy.
Our mistakes are worthy.
Our traumas are worthy as well.
The very paths we are told not to
tread are the paths that hold the
keys to our deepest understanding of
love for our lives and ourselves.

Self love is the gateway to truly loving
another…deeply

We were born to be loved and to love…
fiercely.

Will,
I love you.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
This is for you.

Whitney Houston’s last Visit with Clive Davis, Monica, and Brandy 02/09/11 (Video)

Recently, Brandy and Monica sat down with E! News on the set of their new video “It All Belongs to Me.”  Both women were extremely close to Whitney Houston and she even came to their rehearsal for their pre-Grammy performance, which never happened.  The video below shows Whitney and Bobbi Kristina coming back from the swimming pool and Whitney greeting her mentor Clive Davis, Brandy and Monica.

Monica On A Fun Memory She Has Of Whitney:

She was a jokester and I don’t think people really understood the fact that she was hilarious. The other day she came in, and heard our song, and she walks up to me and she goes, ‘You killin’ that run at the end.’ You know she kept sayin’ it, and she was like, ‘And you know I know you stole that from me, right? You killin’ that run you stole from me.” I’m like “I didn’t steal it, I borrowed it in a respectful manner” and she just thought that was funny because every night in my shows I do a segment for her and always have. That was something she enjoyed ; watching the YouTube’s and watching me kind of emulate her.

It hasn’t always been easy for me but I think that I pushed through because so many people have loved, uplifted and supported me and she was at the top of that list.

Monica on Whitney pulling her on stage to sing with her

That’s something that she often did. She always liked for me to come sing because she told me, ‘I’ve never met anybody that I saw myself in,’ And the fact that I was signed and discovered singing ‘The Greatest Love of All,’ you know…it’s just been a rough week overall. But I recognize that she and I both, outside of music, had a lot in common. And our love for God and our belief in Christ was one of those things and it’s kept me strong and kept me fighting for what it is she loved, and that is family first, music and the rest is second.

Monica On The Advice She’s Received From Whitney:

Allow my love to lead me. That was something that she would always say. Be okay with who I was.

There are a lot of heart broken people but we should just keep her daughter in our prayers and be thankful that God allowed us the time we did have with her.

Brandy when asked what was on the note that Whitney gave to her during an E! interview last week

I’m going to just not say what it was and just keep it to myself for my own personal reasons. I really don’t want to talk about Whitney right now.

Brandy On if she’s been Able To Reach Out To Bobbi Kristina

Yes, I have. I was with Bobbi Kristina the other night. It’s just so unfortunate. Whitney meant everything to me—everything. She’s the reason that I sing. It’s crazy, so crazy. I just want to make her proud. Every step I make I’m just going to do my best to make her proud.

Janet Jackson Remembers Whitney Houston (Video)

The devastating loss of Whitney Houston continues to be felt throughout the music industry. Another one of her superstar peers, Janet Jackson, spoke about first learning of Whitney’s passing, her incredible talent, and advice to daughter Bobbi Kristina during her appearance on Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show. “It’s very, very devastating and I pray for her and her family, even Bobby,” said a grief-stricken Janet.

On her reaction to the tragic news: “I couldn’t believe it. Immediately I started shaking. I was trying to text everyone that I knew to let them know and I was speechless. I could not believe it.”

On Whitney’s talent: “Incredible. She was known as the voice. When she would open her mouth and this instrument would come out, you would obviously understand why. She was such a sweet, sweet soul, especially back in the early ’80s and early ’90s is when I connected with Whitney the most. It doesn’t matter if we were doing an awards show, we would always take the time out to find one another. Either she’d come to my dressing room to say hey and I’d be in makeup, or I’d find her in her dressing room to say hey. We always found time to talk to one another. She was such a sweet soul.”

On her advice to Bobbi Kristina: “It’s a very, very tough time. Even though it’s still a loss. I lost my brother, she lost her mother. There’s still a difference, even though there’s a still a loss to a family. I don’t know what that’s like being so young. It was hard for me. It was very, very difficult for me. I didn’t want to accept it, it’s very difficult. You have to come to terms at some point. You have to actually give it up to God and it sounds so mean, but you have to move on. You can’t hold onto that because it can be very devastating. Sometimes therapy is the best thing.”

Christina Milian Talks Young Money Signing, New Album

Lil Wayne welcomed Christina Milian to the Young Money family at a lavish pre-Grammy celebration over the weekend. The newest Young Money member is now speaking out about her freshly-inked deal and plans for her next album.

“I’m going to be… Young Money!” the 30-year-old singer told Carson Daly on 97.1 AMP Radio. “Yeah, I’ve signed with Young Money. It was pretty awesome. This weekend we had a big party, a big YMCMB party, and Drake was performing and we were all up on the stage and Wayne got up there and he announced it himself. And so I was kind of surprised and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is awesome!’”

Milian is currently recording her fourth album, her first since 2006’s So Amazin’. “We’re just getting started on it,” she said. “I’ve already halfway gotten there and when my mom and I went to Wayne and we played him some of the music, off the second song, he was like, ‘I love it. Let’s do this deal.’ I have some music that’s already going to be on it and the second half I’m working with them now.”

Weezy saw more than a pretty face in the “Dip It Low” hitmaker. “When they did a little background check, they saw even the songwriting, all that kind of stuff adds on top of, alright, she’s an actress, she’s a pretty face, she can actually sing, but not to mention she’s a songwriter. I thought that was cool that they even saw that.”

You can expect appearances from her new crew on the album. “They all get on each other’s records, so all I have to do is be home with everybody and we’ll just do lots of features.”

Milian was previously signed to Radio Killa Records. Her ex-husband and former label boss The-Dream offered his congratulations. “Congrats To Christina on her New Signing,” he tweeted. “Finally your fans can get the real you.”

New Music: Lil’ Kim – ‘If You Love Me’

Lil’ Kim shows love to her fans this Valentine’s Day with her new song “If You Love Me.” The Queen Bee demands some action from her man instead of just talk. “If you love me, you would say it in front of the world,” sings Kimmy Blanco on the upbeat Auto-Tuned record. “Beyoncé and Jay, that could’ve been us/ But it’s no trust and all we do is fuss.”  I’m kinda diggin’ it!!  What you think??  Does Kimmy has a hit on her hands??
