Reggae Star Elephant Man Arrested For Rape

Popular dancehall entertainer Elephant Man has been charged with grievous sexual assault and rape. The police said the charges stem from an incident at his St. Andrew home earlier this month.

Investigators said a woman filed a police report claiming that the artiste, whose real name is Oneil Bryan sexually assaulted her. The police said detectives assigned to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse conducted investigations, which led to Elephant Man being arrested Monday.

They said he was questioned in the presence of his attorney yesterday and then later charged with grievous sexual assault and rape.

Elephant Man is booked to appear in court Wednesday.

You Can Own A Piece Of Facebook Soon

The long-awaited tech IPO (Initial Public Offering) of the year — perhaps of the decade — is almost here. Facebook will file its paperwork for an Initial Public Offering on Wednesday, according to The Wall Street Journal.

You can start gathering your pennies to invest in the company but it will still be several months until the company goes public hits Wall Street.

The initial offering is expected to raise as much as $10 billion, which would make it the biggest U.S. Internet IPO in history. The record currently stands at $1.9 billion, by Google when it went public in 2004.

Facebook’s reported valuation of $75 billion to $100 billion means the company will be one of the few top companies on wall street. Just to give you an idea, McDonald’s Corp. is worth $100 billion , $90 billion for Citigroup Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. and $75 billion for Bank of America Corp.

Both Facebook and Google earn most of their money from advertising and are now competing to gain as much information as possible about their users to help advertisers target niche audiences.

Zuckerberg, 27 who created Facebook is already worth $17.5 billion, based on the latest estimates from Forbes magazine. Most of that wealth is drawn from the value of Facebook shares that have traded among a small universe of well-heeled investors that buy stakes in companies before they go public.

Simon Cuts Three Judges From X-Factor Including Paula Abdul

After so-so ratings (they weren’t bad but FOX expected more) Simon Cowell has gone on an axing spree with his new show.

Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones have been axed but they aren’t the only ones not coming back to X Factor next season.

Believe it or not, Fox has informed Simon Cowell’s longtime homey Paula Abdul she won’t be needed for the next show.

At this point, the only ones staying are Simon and L.A. Reid.

Fox and Cowell are determined to make changes to the series after a first season that performed solidly, but fell short of what many felt was the show’s high potential given its ratings dominance in the UK (Factor delivers about 12.6 million viewers for its Wednesday episodes).

The events cap weeks of speculation about whether Scherzinger and Jones will continue on the show. Abdul’s future with the series has been speculated about too, but less so — especially given her longtime friendship and working history with Factor judge and executive producer Simon Cowell.

Nigel Lythgoe was also shocked by the news, tweeting, “Shocked to see Simon has fired Paula Abdul, Nicole and Steve from the X-Factor.”

TI And Tiny Expecting New Baby?

Could there be another King or Queen coming along?

Last night on the preview for next week’s episode of T.I. And Tiny: The Family Hustle, Tiny announced that she’s pregnant again!

In the brief episode preview, Tiny shares the news with husband T.I., who certainly looks shocked. It’s hard to guess the string of emotions T.I. may be feeling.

We’ll just have to wait and see next week!

A couple of weeks ago, Tiny was out and about in Atlanta, and sources are saying that she definitely looked pregnant. Maybe she’s waiting until the episode airs to officially share her pregnancy with the fans.
