Lil Wayne to Publish Prison Memoir Later this Year

According to Billboard.com, Lil Wayne will be releasing a book about his 8 month prison stint. The book will be released through Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group, and will be called Gone Till November, and will be a compilation of the rapper’s diaries that he kept.

The book is set to be released on November 28th, and will offer a firsthand account of Lil Wayne’s experience in prison.The journals will detail his thoughts and feelings, the people he met, his past and even his future.

“We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne’s prison memoir, he kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing.”

Chad’s Ochocinco (who’s real last name is Johnson) is the brother of R&B vocalist Syleena Johnson!  Are you surprised?  Well, so were they!  The two JUST found out they were siblings.  People were curious as to what the relation was between the two because Chad made a cameo appearance in her new video “A Boss” off of  her last album entitled Chapter V: Underrated. 

Syleena made the big announcement during her interview with Philly’s  Power 99 Jonesy in the Morning show some time last year. She would not go into details because Chad wants to keep the details private to protect those involved.  She said they are not close though.  By the way, Syleena’s dad is famous blues singer Syl Johnson.  Artists such as Wu Tang Clan, Public Enemy, and the Geto Boys to name a few have sampled his songs.

Recently, Syl Johnson brought a lawsuit against Kanye West and “Watch the Throne” for using an unauthorized sample for the song, “The Joy.”  Ironically, Syleena Johnson performed on the song “All Falls Down,” with Kanye.  Fast forward to the 4:00 mark.

T.I. and Rick Ross got the crowd hype with their performances, a dapper Common freestyled over his single “Celebrate,” and Kelly Rowland serenaded the birthday boy with “Happy Birthday.” If that wasn’t enough, D-Wade was gifted with a 2012 McLaren MP4-12C valued at around $230,000. Idris Elba and Ocatavia Spencer had something to celebrate as they  took  home trophy gold with them Sunday night at the Golden Globe Awards.  Idris Elba won one of the top honors–the 2012 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television award for “Luther.”  Octavia Spencer  took the Best Perfomance by an Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture  for the “The Help.” 

Paula Patton & Robin Thicke Owes Close To $500K In Back Taxes

Actress Paula Patton has a mission that’s apparently impossible: paying taxes. Patton, who stars alongside Tom Cruise in box-office hit “Mission Impossible — Ghost Protocol” and her singer husband Robin Thicke owe more than $492,000 to the IRS, according to public records.

The IRS filed a $492,583 tax lien against Paula Patton and Robin Thicke on Dec. 28 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds.

 

Jay-Z Revamps His 40/40 Club

Jay dropped $10 million improving the place, and although there is still some last-minute alterations, I’m sure it will be THE place to be on opening night!

Kanye West ex-girlfriend Amber Rose broke down in tears on MTV’s RapFix Live on Wednesday (11th January) after revealing her abuse at the hands of Yeezy’s fans. 

Rose, who was on the show promoting her first single ‘Fame’, revealed that during her relationship with Kanye, she was bulled by the rapper’s fans  – with West himself even criticising her on his hit album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
