If You Haven't Heard It: Phil Ade Featuring Kevin Ross

368 Music Group is an independent label founded by Jive Recording artist Raheem DeVaughn and his partner, A&R/Talent Manager Andre “The Mayor” Hopson. DeVaughn and Hopson started the label in an effort to create a platform for talented artists and the unique sound of the Washington DC metropolitan area. While it is well known that New York City, Atlanta and Los Angeles are the focal points of the entertainment industry, they’re seeking to begin that same type of movement right here in our nation’s capital. 368 Music Group’s foundation is built on grassroots initiatives that not only involve the music industry, but the community as a whole; as 368 Music Group proudly represents the DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) area.

Make sure you support the movement, the DMV is so slept on and we have overwhelming talent!! I definitely know this first hand, as I am a graduate of Duke Ellington School of Arts in DC.  We have to build each other up and support one another instead of developing ego’s and forgetting that we’re all in this together.  I wanna see DC rocking off the charts like any other notable states.  Let’s get it!!! #Team DMV

The viral marketing campaign provides fans with clues that point them toward unique locations – from Brooklyn to London – where select pages from the book can be found.

Last month, Jay unveiled a new ‘Decoded’ excerpt at the bottom of the pool in Miami’s Delano hotel, during an intimate preview party. Now, the latest sneak-peek from the upcoming book can be found on a limited-edition bomber jacket hanging in Gucci’s flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York City. The inner lining of the black leather jacket, designed by Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini, gives the low-down on Jay-Z’s hit song ‘Blue Magic,’ from his 2007 album ‘American Gangster.’ The jacket will remain on display until the book hits shelves on Nov. 16, and the Bing contest will run through Nov. 20.

Fans participating in the viral game will have the chance to win prizes, including a trip to Vegas to see Jay-Z and Coldplay perform live on NewYear’s Eve.
